Lanning has increasing stock options in his contract that make his leaving Oregon unlikely. Additionally, he has all the NIL/rev share backing to build a title contending roster and less pressure at Oregon than he would have in Gainesville.

Lane Kiffin could be a real target for Florida, but I think he is such a perfect fit for Ole Miss that he would be taking a big risk to leave.

Dan Mullen to VT, without a tremendous amount of thought, is something I could get behind. I was very much for it back in 2015, as I'm sure there are receipts of somewhere on this very website lol. His stock has obviously dropped since then, but in terms of hiring a proven good football coach, he seems like a viable option.

samesies - I don't even know what time the game is on Saturday but I'll be spending the day NOT in front of a screen of any sort. Looking forward to watching Liverpool on Sunday. That's pretty much all I care about these days

(12) Clemson at GahT (C -4.5)
(6) Georgia at (15) Tennessee (UGA -4.5)
Pitt at wvu (Shitt -4.5)
(18) USF at (5) Miami (Miami -16.5)
(16) aTm at (8) Notre Dame (ND -6.5)
Vanderbilt at (11) USCe (USC -5.5)

I'm just throwing darts at this point...

Drink of the Weekend...grapefruit crushes. Playing in a one-day member-guest Saturday. Open bar. No care about our game Saturday night, so these should be perfect for the weather this weekend.

I too appreciate the sentiment, but I stopped midway. I have been a fan since 1989. Thus, witnessing the entire VT Football "Circle of Life" that started in 1993.

Unfortunately, for me, watching this video actually depressed me. Before the Vandy loss, videos like these brought me joy and pumped me up. Why, I still had a shred of hope. That hope is now gone.

I'm not watching the game this weekend. Not one bit. No interest what so ever. It saddens me, but IIWII for me at this point.

I wish the players the best and hope they win for their sake. As a fan, either result has no bearing on my outlook anymore.

WTF?

Thank you. I think we can all use a little help now.

In fairness, I don't care too much if the coaches are passionate on the sidelines or calm. I remember years ago when we still thought Fuente was good and people here (not saying you, I have no idea who the individuals were) were taking about how happy they were to have someone calm and cool like Fuente and not some screaming clown like Narduzzi when we was having his meltdowns. Can be a Bill Parcells kind of guy or a Joe Gibbs kind of guy and be successful or fail. But there has to be consequences if you are lazy or play poorly. Remember Parcells cutting someone once because he fell asleep in film review.

I'm all for passion and some yelling will probably be good for the current roster, but I'm fine with someone low key too. They just have to be competent and hire competent staff and have consequences for players not doing their job.

Imagine Dabo standing there chewing gum taking notes as his linebackers got repeatedly whipped play after play. Aint gonna happen. I dont have any faith in the administration to really do anything reasonable about Pry/Whit though. I fear we are in store for some truly dark days as far as the football program is concerned ahead.
