they did not, but not being able to afford to keep the recruits you developed isn't entirely a coaching problem.... you would have to be insane to be these players and turn down hundreds of thousands in NIL delta. The difference between program payments could be greater than NFL rookie deals. No recruiter can overcome that.
Dang, that is indeed a sad fact.
I don't view it as a turnaround season either, but the sad fact is that 7 blah regular season wins would be the best regular season since 2019 and in our top 5 seasons since 2012.
If 6 schools are being poached, we would be included, so this is actually a good thing for us
Must not have been a committable VT offer. ;^)
They're both good, but the Boise State Pro Combat ones were FIRE.
Doesn't matter where you get 'em. You just gotta get 'em.
The advantage of the portal is that someone else has invested in developing them.
Really only two of them (Chaplin and Delane) would have probably cracked this list
The top, the Boise St game Tyrod era one. I also love the white Nike Vapor or something that we wore circa Ryan Williams
Tell me you are not serious about football without telling me.
The little brother jokes write themselves
I want to really take a look at Pry being fired for a terrible year. He should be and that's why I just don't see it. Whit is happily not o the hit seat, some how. So why act like a big program and cut the dead weight? There is a rumor that whit said so? The sane Whit that plays his cards so close to his chest that he can't see them? When has VT not doubled down on a less than ideal hand? Hell our wrestling coach hire was basically 21 on the 6th card. I dont have confidence around any decision in the department.
So did Jayden Covil
Hopefully that will happen. Well, really hopefully, we will go at least 7-5 and win a bowl game to finish 8-5 or better and the staff stays as they have turned the corner. With less than 7 wins and Pry gone, we hopefully still have Moore on staff. Assuming, of course, the OL shows real improvement.
OL coaches are sometimes retained because of the benefits of continuity at that position. I wouldn't be surprised if a new coach retained Moore.
OL transfer a lot less than any other position, and it hurts their development. We're also seeing overall less high quality transfers because of revenue sharing, more teams are keeping the players they want to keep.
Ahh
yeah that one was 15 years ago.
The other one was worn 10 years ago for Beamer's last game
👴🏻
Sadly it might be more true with 11 wins than 8.
The Boise State Pro Combat uniforms. I liked them and we only ever wore them once.
The players that we developed... left for more money
thus answering the age old question from Clara Peller.....

Update: looks like I'm postponing the trip. Thanks for all your input
I was hoping to see Pulisic in a tournament setting under Poch...to get a feel of whether it's Pulisic, Gregg letting Pulisic get away with things, or just too much hype. There wasn't anyone that took Pulisic's spot away from him this tournament, so only injury is going to do it now.

God damn that's sobering
