When I went to middle school they did, and 3.6 wasn't anything to be mentioning. My daughter's also have GPAs as they both are... we're middle schoolers 5 hours ago.
Oh I enjoyed those seasons other than JMU game. I enjoyed last season too. But if the goal is stated to win championships then you cant lose to 1-AA. And you cant keep a coach that has the clock management skills of James Franklin with out the recruiting skills and expect to win games.

This is a very interesting take. You have very high standards. I get that it may have been possible to see that we were at the beginning of the downward trend, but many fanbases would kill for back to back 10 win seasons with a conference championship

The end of the first half was worse. 1. not knowing that forward progress rolls the clock (coaching 101) and wasting a time out to give miami a free 2 downs.. 2. You make it worse by calling a defense that allows them a wide open WR in FG range. awful.
Beamer had a bad game- well 2 really. I thought ECU the week before was worse loss with the Tyrod debacle. That said, 2 games into the season after his body of work, you don't fire him.

I would figure you would want that. You talk about how we dont have the right mentallity in Blacksburg for winning championships. Losing to 1AA should be unacceptable if you want to win at the highest level. They would have had a losing record if we had won.
You said in another thread that we should be prepared to lose to JMU by 10 this year. We'll they are a way better football team now, there should be way less shame in losing now they are atleast in the same subdivision. They now have the same number of scholarships.
National Champion coaches dont have fluke games that late into their time at a school when they are at the top of their game.
it was very clear Pry cant coach, he blew the last drive on shitty clock management. We could have had 2-3 more shots at the endzone if he could coach.
I mean at that point Frank earned retirement at the end of the year, but that was the end for him. Sure he went undefeated in the ACC which had 3 teams with >.500 records and a 4th in FSU in the championship game. We beat obe 10 win teams, one 9 win teams, one 8 win team and one 7 win team. We had 3 of the best backs VT has had with 2 WRs that would end their careers at the top of VTs record book, and the 2nd best QB in the history of VT, and we couldn't get 1 yard against a 1AA team.
In 2011 we weren't much of a team, we had a ton of great players but we came the closest to being shut out since 1995 to a team that gave up 70 to WVU. We beat 5 teams with winning records Ark St which had 10 wins, but you best win was against an 8-5 UVA team. That doesn't sound like a great season. We had insane talent but we weren't as good of a team as the talent we had.
After than we didn't have the talent cause we had a couple of bad classes, it really was a sign that Beamers time was coming to an end.

He just finished Round 2 at +4 and should make the weekend. Currently T35 with projected cut at +5.
We had also talked about Croatia last year, but went to Spain and Portugal instead. Friend and his wife who SCUBA dive chartered a catamaran with a captain/chef husband/wife for 2 weeks in Croatia for a boating and diving trip and raved about it. I don't Scuba, my wife gets seasick, and that is not in our budget, but it sounded fantastic.
That is what I meant by I was entitled to the money. I worked for it. I recognize that athletes that want to go pro put in hours of effort, but that doesn't entitle them to money until they actually get them a job that pays...

With how stupid all this shit is these days, by the time he is ready to see action on the field, he'll be at his 3rd school
