Anyone just get 2 back to back emails from HokieSports? First one was a few sale items related to the metalica concert and the next was a order confirmation (but I didn't order anything)
I mean who cares about appeal deals, all shoes fit the same, right?
I had a pair of Merrill hiking boots, waterproof and tough as nails. They got me through 6 years of mountain surveying before breaking down, and when I needed to replace them, I couldn't afford them and ended up not really needing them as I transitioned to full time fishing guide. I still miss those boots. The shoes are great, heavy but tough, and will likely last for my life since my aging infrastructure precludes an ambitious walking/hiking agenda. I didn't realize how popular they were here until a workman, a black fellow, told me that "every white man in Mathews over 50" had them on. So I started noticing for a while, and he was righter than wrong.
Not Paige, but a cool sled dog story.

Lol Bill O'Brien is probably stoked about that.
Doesn't BC have an apparel deal larger than ours with fucking New Balance?
Merrills are great shoes. I had the Merrill trail/hiking shoes in my 20s when I was working and recreating outdoors more. I'd buy another pair if I could ever find them on sale.

Yep. Just like Merrill walking shoes. Around my town, if you're over 50, you're wearing the Merrills.
Well, you're posting here, so you should feel good about it.

Go Hikies!
Priorities sir.
This isn't the Iditarod, so the answer is clear:
Celebrate this for the Hokies!
Let's. F...... Go!!!!!
low key best performance through six episodes, Kleya.
Years from now, it is my hope that Bhayshul Tuten is considered to be the steal of this draft class.
As a card carrying member of the 40 and up crowd, I can confirm those bad boys are reserved for the 50 and up gang
Get some longer studs and I can aerate my lawn while I pace around listening to the Hokie games.
As a soon to be member of the 40 and up crowd......I kinda want those
Given that Virginia Tech and Iowa State are the only 2 teams I actively follow and root for anymore, I'm not sure if I should feel good, bad or indifferent about this.
He's gonna show up to camp with a pair of these on.

This is actually the one thing I can reasonably hope on with the OL. If the OL becomes solid - not great, just pretty good - it could really improve the team. That could boost the running game and passing game even with the loss of players like Tuten. Could easily see us regressing in several positions, but if the OL play is solid, it could make up for all of that and more. No way to know if the OL will really be much better or not, but there is the hope that it could and that it will make a difference.
I'd argue we have not had a "good" win in many, many years. Several people have replied above with fun wins, but I'm not sure any of them ended up really being good wins. They are listing wins over teams that were ranked at the time, but as was pointed out with the UNC QBs being over-rated, none of those teams were that good by the time the year ended. I mean, when is the last time we beat a team that was ranked at the end of the season? I'm sure I'm missing someone, but I honestly cannot remember one for certain since the OSU win. Maybe Miami or someone else was in Fuente's first year. We did beat some solid teams that year.
But coming back to fun vs. good, beating UVa by 30 points is fun, but it's really a good win the way I think of it. Good wins mean you beat a good team. Been a long time since that has happened.
I'm actually impressed by the ESPN article about this.
They mentioned us

Hopefully the school and athletic department are trying to maximize the revenue from this event. With our own ACCN studio and camera set up, could they live feed this into Cassell and let in students to watch?
