VT 3 - stanford 2. end of five.
That HR by Yaeger was smoked! That was a shot!
Crazy that was Lemley's first 1-2-3 inning in the 5th
10-1 through top of 3rd. Hokies strand bases loaded in 3rd.
I think coming up short at the end of the year the way the Twins did is significantly worse than just having a bad year. Although I also get just being down on sports in general. It's always been a money grab, but it's at absolutely gross levels now, even beyond the NCAA. I think the insane amount of sports betting ads is one of the many things that have really soured me of late. The big fuck-off motorola patches on the sleeves of the Cubs uniforms does make me feel good either.
VT 3 - stanford 2. End of four.
Yaeger with the boom shot. 3-2 Hokies
Obviously we'll never get Harry Caray back, but it's a real damn shame the Cubs don't have a similar situation to what they had with WGN, they really gained a national audience back then. Marquee network sucks.
Wait were we at the same Cubs Dodgers game in like 2017 or 2018?
9-1 through 2
Lemley struggling to hit the strike zone
stanford 2 - VT 0. end of three.
9 runs on 6 walks. 14 trips to the plate
0-0 end of two.
Boys put up a 9 spot in the top of the 1st and still batting
0-0 end of one.
A scholarship, room and board, stipend, etc is more than fair for 90% of D1 athletes.
To be fair, there are about 190,000 D1 athletes, and I bet more than 90% don't get any substantial compensation beyond Room/Board/Tuition/CoL
Thanks for this. I think I could only identify 4 or 5 of the correct schools out of 16.
Nah, Flagg is going to want to leave now to knock out his rookie contract as quickly as possible.
With the way salaries are going up, Flagg could sign a 5 year / 500 million down the road (on top of his endorsement deals).
What's more, we asked them to leave us alone. They asked to get Big Dogged.
What a fucking joke. You can't even make a guess as to which school half of these schools are. And honestly, I'm not sure that some of the ones that you can 'make a guess' result in the right guess.
For those curious which school is which,
Top row: Auburn, Michigan, Ole Miss, Michigan State, Florida, Maryland, Texas Tech, Arkansas
Bottom row: Duke, Arizona, BYU, Alabama, Houston, Purdue, Kentucky, Tennessee
Schools with no remaining players that matriculated there from high school: Michigan, Arizona, Kentucky
Schools with equal or more original players on other teams: Texas Tech, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn
Schools not in the Sweet Sixteen with multiple original players in the Sweet Sixteen: Virginia Tech (2), Rutgers (2), North Carolina (2), Oklahoma (2), Belmont (2), Florida Atlantic (2)
6pm Tonight on ACCNX against #16 Stanford. Huge series for the ladies. A sweep in their favor probably puts them in Top 10
6pm Tonight on ACCNX against Wake
