I think the change in coordinators may help Pry become a better head whistle. No sauces, but I believe he was putting too much time and attention in trying to drag especially Marve to a decent job that he was not paying enough attention to his primary responsibilities like time management, etc. Having competent coordinators who can do their own job could help Pry a lot.

Better than the Pirates who decided they are going to stick with their closer who lead the league in blown saves and had the highest era of any relief pitcher. And when he did get a save, the game usually ended with 2 or 3 runners on base.

That's the danger with averages - the guys we lost at the top of the range were better than the guys we got at the top of the range. We also lost a lot of guys who would never see the field so they really weren't contributing to the success or failure of the team.
To put it another way - I can average 5 yards right of center off the tee in a round of golf and pump 14 balls out of bounds 7 on the left and 7 on the right. The average doesn't tell the story.
