We ended up playing the Fazio! Gorgeous course that we also really enjoyed.

It's Master's Week!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So......
Does Rory defend? Where does he finish?
Does Rahm has a shot? He's one of the statistical favs...
Does Bryson make the cut? Challenge? Fade?
Does Fitzpatrick (my pick) pull it off this year?
Does Reed finish top 10? (yes!)
Does Aberg get over his final round block and finish top 10 or so...?
Does Scottie show up and play well enough to make the cut?
Who is your dark horse? Rose, Fleetwood, Si Woo, Straka (he's mine) anyone?

$300k in NIL....

I swear I'm not solo'ing you out, just happen to be behind the keyboard now....

Appears that they were mandated to keep him until now because of an IR settlement. Honestly wasnt tracking he was still with them.

Those PSU peeps are stuck in 1986.....and still live that glory. It's a cold empty place in the valley up there headed into winter.

I dont know if anyone really knows post-House but a real adjustment will be that his players aren't contracted to play for him over a period of years so adjusting to that could be a system shock for him but even college coaches are still adjusting to that issue.

Style of play wise, NBA is so defense light but he was one that pushed his guys hard to play coherent defense so that impact is likely mitigated. I think a big key will be his assistant coaches. How do they help him balance it early on? I am also curious how long until an NBA team comes knocking especially the expansion teams.

I'm curious to know how bad this hire is? Can smarter people explain the difference between pros and college in hoops in the post-house era? How does it compare to nfl/nba?

What is bizarre to me is how many Penn State fans seem to think they should naturally beat Ohio State, Michigan and Oregon every season even though they resourced the program so far below those programs and now have the likes of Indiana, Nebraska and USC pushing more chips to the center to compete and while PSU upped the resources given to Matt Campbell, by announcing it the way they did, they gave all those schools notice to up their own again.

While there's more nuance to each respective situation, it's hard not to draw comparisons to the Belichek hire they also made.

I know the league is looking to expand, but "the 31st NBA team" in Chapel Hill is not what Adam Silver had in mind, I'm sure.

Malone is an interesting fit for this day and age of college basketball. He was pretty direct publicly criticizing his players' defensive intensity, which almost never happens in the NBA. He's a great coach, but I wonder if his college players will take to the tough love.

1970's Ford Maverick

My first car... 1970 Ford Maverick. I started driving it in 1977. Handed down from big brother. It was Petty Blue with black trim. He tricked it out with black and blue shag carpet, a Radio Shack 8-track tape player, raised white letter 60 series tires, and a cherry bomb muffler. It had a one barrel carburetor on an inline 6 cylinder. Zero to 60 in about twenty minutes! lol. Man, I loved that car! I ended up introducing it to a telephone pole playing in the snow one night.

It's still so bizarre to me that Franklin was fired for performance only a few games after losing in the CFP Final Four on essentially a walk off FG. The guy had been steadily improving that program for 15 years and the second they finally got a whiff of what their goal was, they fired him for not actually getting it.

And what is most bizarre is that the media largely bought into that reasoning.

Agree. Having listened to 'Enter Sandman' an unknown large number of times, the description of how it fits together and the intracacies of the actual music was very interesting. This from someone with no actual musical skills and can't carry a tune in a bucket.
