Peak TKP off-season right here. The guy hasn't even coached a game and we've got him leaving us high and dry to go back to Penn State.
Seen alot of talk about towards the end he wasnt nearly as invested in his athletes or doing what was best for them and more about what was best for him. Apparently the last few classes at Princeton had very little nice to say about him. Could just be sour grapes since he left to take the Stanford job but seemed a bit more than that.
Any we should pick up?

He was pissed that he had to wait for her. Was it kinda cr@ppy on her part? Yep. Could it have been on purpose to get in his head? Possibly.
All I know is I don't want her at loluva.
I assume you mean top 5 in the ACC, which I can believe. We're nowhere near top 5 in the country.
I also dont like her, but I was talking about the handshake thing.... Shes obnoxious af a lot of the time
Okay, I will revise Staley is most of what is wrong with coaching, Mulkey is the worst.
She was absolutely the wrong one. Geno was absolutely right there is a double standard on coaching going on. Her behavior during and towards the refs would have gotten almost every other coach ejected with multiple technical fouls in the first quarter of the game.

I think its a case of geno being universally awful and staley being (less) bad but some people overlooking it and others not.

And for the vitrol against Staley, Geno is worse. Lied about the handshake line. Just went ballistic after the game about the refs and the ripped jersey that HIS player ripped on purpose. Got boat raced, then turned sour grapes into whine.
I feel like we're going to need to find a distinction between "can't afford" and "unwilling to match." They're related, but not the same. If we NEEDED to keep Jaden Schutt on the roster, they could do it. The fact that someone else is willing to overpay for a mediocre 3/D kind of guy doesn't mean we have to. He's replaceable.

100%. Kim Mulkey is the worst.
The anger at Staley confuses me. Geno was an asshole during the handshake line. He started yelling at the opposing coach in a moment that's supposed to be about sportsmanship and (most importantly) the players. That's not being "a little irrational," it's fully whiffing on your job as a coach in that moment.
I'm really not sure where a backlash against Staley is coming from in all this.
agree that she's not my cup of tea in the coaching world. But why say she is a terrible person?
Could be as simple as keeping options open until new coach is identified

Yeah...being the worst in Defensive metrics on a team that was just plain bad on D is a pretty big achievement.
Again, that's what I don't get...how is there a market for this? Is there no one writing these NIL checks asking or caring what they are paying for??
Lets call a spade a spade...very slightly above average 3 shooter who can't defend. 8th man type, maybe not even that for a team looking to make it past the 1st Round of NCAA Tourney.
The NIL "marketplace" might be equally as insane and grossly fraudulent as the NFT market was.
