After watching the USMNT this week, they are lucky they got an automatic qualifier
Rocky River, OH?
That's B1g 10 territiory.
Jordan Lynch named ACC Player of the Week.
Hit .583, 10 RBIs, 3 homeruns,
I think the team seen this comment. And took it personally. Because they had 4 homers and 3 doubles. I know it's against Radford. But you have to get confidence at the plate somewhere. And sometimes it's the midweek games. Don't know if it will matter much in the long run because of the bullpen. But maybe we see a power surge. At least make these games watchable
Not like we can talk much after our last two matches

3 hours and 45 minutes later, a win 13-5
Another run walked in
Another pitching change
Walked in a run
Bases loaded now after another walk
13-3 in bottom of 9th but Hokies have to do a pitching change as guy threw 8 pitches. 6 balls, a strike and a single to left including a wild pitch. Can't even throw strikes up 10 runs.
Up 12-3 but still some terrible at bats. Based loaded no outs and managed one run on a walk but had three strike outs in four batters. Zero contact into the field with the bases loaded.
They were up in the first half before the red card.
Up 11-3 on Radford in top of the 6th
You're at least going to try.
Gaby is living up to being the number six recruit in the country. She has the rare mix of being strong and fast
I don't know where new threads go, so can we use this to make fun of Italy missing the world cup for the 3rd time in a row after losing their play in game to Bosnia and Herzegovina on penalties?
Mrs. Smlltwnsthrnlwyr's first joke was "well how can they be expected to win, they had to play two teams"
2027 3*/4* Ath/S Tristin Hughes committing on Thursday. Multiple Crystal Balls to the Hokies.
From Coach Jared Frayer :
Welcome to the Post Season...
11th Place and both ACC Titles, if you told me that beginning of the year, knowing what we knew RS wise and loosing a couple starters to the portal... I would have called you a liar. This teams personality coupled with staying the course and trusting the process, allowed us to probably win some duals that we weren't supposed to and snowballed into an awesome ACC tournament. And with having a good season and a great tournament, the expectations were on, for the last weekend in Cleveland. So unfortunately we come back from Cleveland a little bit disappointed, all while knowing we were right there to finish much higher in a couple instances. One thing I can say, is that throughout the entire season, until each one of their last matches, our team fought and brought the effort just about every time out. And as a coach, that is about all we can ask of them. Proud of our guys this year, and incredibly excited for what is to come!
Some quick updates for the next couple weeks:
-Sr. US OPEN Probables: Henson, Andonian, Bassett, Sasso... and maybe a couple more
-Jr. US OPEN Probables: Burton, Bassett.... Seidel and Gaj are the other possibles for U20
-Most likely a couple Hokies will enter the portal, they will always be Hokies and we love them.
-Team Camp June 25-28 Still a couple spots left, if your hometown team wants in. Robiewrestling.com
-SERTC is looking hard for another resident athlete, so hopefully we will have some news in the next 2-3 months
-I get to speak at the Blacksburg Sports Club tomorrow, so if you are there be sure to say "Hi!"
-The portal also opens tomorrow. April Fools day, so be aware.
-We should know golf tournament dates in the next week or so.
Appreciate all you guys do for our program and the support you give us throughout the year, win or lose. We have a lot to be proud of, and I am humbled every year as a look back at the 9 seasons we have been here. The best is yet to come and I can not wait to experience it with the best fans in America! Go Hokies!
Happy Early Easter!
The players aren't blind to Young being a lame duck, no guarantee Frazier stays to take over (frankly for his future I hope he doesnt). They know that the school isnt giving the program enough money to seriously contend. Why risk your development and potentially your future job on a program that is not serious about competing? Even if they like the coaches, best move for many of them would be to go elsewhere.
UVA has a bigger reason to be pissed seeing all those teams above them with 5-8 losses
And this ultimately is the shortcoming with having a developer as a Coach in the Cash Your Check and Go era.
CMY simply hasn't been able to keep enough of the promising young players around to begin to develop them or any sort of Program.
Short-sighted one or two year rentals are the way of CBB now and will be until there are actual rules. You have to play in that sandbox to compete. CMY doesn't fit in that sandbox and never will.
If I had to choose an individual to coach one of my children, I would choose Mike Young 500,000 times before Nate Oats, Will Wade, or Todd Golden, but college athletics has decided that's not what is valued anymore.
I stand corrected and fixed the error. I still fail to see how anyone can rank a team ahead of you that has double the losses you do along with an 0-2 record against you. Baffling.

As a fan of a middling team,I feel like in this day and age, to stay above that disappointment, you have to go into every season expecting that every player that shows their value will be gone next year
