Are you from Philly? I was growing up in South Jersey around then, so wonder if proximity to Philly made it more likely that I'd have heard him. Granted, hard to win a Grammy if you're only appealing to people around Philly, so I imagine he had a very wide listener base, and a lot more people had heard of him than 99.5% of everyone NOT having heard him.
If you were the right age, EVERYBODY heard Will Smith - per bar1990 below, Parents Just Don't Understand was immensely popular and on all the popular radio stations, not just what you might consider a "rap" station. Everyone from like 8 to 20 was probably listening to him.

You can hate James Franklin, but for the sake of having a GOOD DC next year, I'd rather ND win in a low scoring game.

Analyzing this purely through the lens of winning percentage leaves out a lot of context. Some teams wouldn't have a conference to go home to. Would it be nice for WVU to be in the old Big East with Pitt,, UL, Cincy, VT, etc? Sure. But that's not a thing any more. Would Nebraska prefer to be in a conference with OU, Colorado, Etc? Yea, but Texas ruined that first.
Apparently Chase Brown hurt himself last week trying to go down in play at the end of the game to run clock. About the most Bungles thing ever.

The sound has been turned down for the last month or so of games. Guessing the season-ticket holders who complained about the band being too loud also complained about the sound system volume.
Agree 100% Enter Sandman is lame on low volume. Same with other video sounds. Really lame.
Honestly they could have sold more if they opened more of the stadium up. Not upset I'm in the standing room only section as we might have the best view of the ice.

First game I got to see in-person this year. I can't believe how many layups/dunks we gave up to Miami. It's like our team doesn't believe in help defense when a guy gets beat on a drive 😂 Another thing that stood out to me was how stagnant the offense felt when Rechsteiner was running point compared to Hammond. Hammond made his share of mistakes today, but you can see the raw ability there. I was impressed with a few of his passes.
It was a pretty weak atmosphere today with all the students gone and things maybe 50% full, but the crowd got into it in the end and the basket by Poteat was super hyped.
Also Cassell's sound system needs a major, major overhaul...I was pretty high up, but I could barely even hear the music sometimes. Enter Sandman never sounded so lame...if people around me clapped, it literally drowned out the music lol.
Definitely more fans there than basketball

We don't have any natural LBs currently at that spot which is a major recruiting issue. We have a bunch of safeties we have hoped will work out there. Keller is continually hesitant in his play. And we are very undersized.
I thought the LBs and Safeties looked terrible yet again. Safeties looked like they were constantly in the wrong position for the play and the LBs, especially Keller seemed to be hesitant with the exception of a few nice plays.
Which is why I was surprised how little they gave up in the second half. Pry mentioned they made some adjustments to coverage in the second half to make their QB hold the ball just a little longer. Did French or anyone happen to notice what those changes were?
Need JSJ (DEs) and Dex (DC and S) very fast. Shore up DE and S play asap, Bud as top consultant. I thought the LBs played more fundamentally sound overall but are just undersized/can't bring down a bigger guy. Dex/JSJ recruiting can fix that.
After listen to the two deep you were on i really feel the comment that we play defense as 3 different units.
