Staying relatively local this year. Cousin's house on my mom's side for Christmas Eve -- traditional Polish meatless with pierogi and seafood. Brunch on Christmas Day local to us at my brother's house, then to the in-laws' big bash up in Westchester Co NY in the afternoon.
Perhaps headed to Darcy's in Bradley Beach for Boxing Day EPL as Mrs Chumps is working but I'm not
This right here, except, I don't even watch VT on ESPN. In fact I won't watch anything on ESPN unless I am at a bar where it's on a TV. It's time to stop giving those clowns eyeballs.

To one and all from all persuasions, happy holidays. Cooked a small rib roast yesterday, nearly finished with my 4th batch of holiday Chex Mix, and planning to try air frying some oysters for Christmas dinner. Will have to actually deep fry some hushpuppies, I mean, how else to cook them? Ceasar salad to top it off. Visiting the outlaws in the Shenandoah Valley (Bridgewater, Parnassas and Staunton) over the weeknd. Just the two of us, parents gone, my family on west coast, but Christmas movies and some decent egg nog are making for a cozy week so far. Best to all!
I mean, I still enjoy the sport. I definitely have a lot of concern for the future of the sport, but I still enjoy every college football Saturday.

Personally "never" comes to mind first.
Fantastic hire! He was my top choice. Knows how to identify and develop talent, has done a tremendous job at WVU with guys like Milum and Nester, among others. Previous Broyles award nominee, and knows how to recruit our region for OL talent having been at WVU. His OLs at WVU have always been very strong.
Perfect fit IMO!
Because of all of the above, I watch VT games exclusively. Only watch others while tailgating (before and after depending on game) and we constant switch for the most competitive game, not the 'brand name' game. Mostly watching quads (four games on one TV).
No need to to change.

Man I just want to watch a VT game without being bombarded with discussions about a playoff rather than the game we are actively watching.
Hell, I'm still bitter about the ACC Championship Game last year where ESPN spent the entire broadcast shitting all over both ACC squads in an effort to manipulate the playoff picture. It actively makes watching games miserable from a fan perspective.
Some form of this is going to happen sooner rather than later. The Top 20-ish "brands" with the most TV appeal will split off and form their own league and voila, there we go. The SEC and the BIG can't kick out charter members, but Georgia, Michigan, Alabama, anOSU, etc can all leave those conferences for a new structure. That's the only way to make the line go up and make the money go up at a certain point. And frankly I hope they do it as quickly as possible so I can go back to enjoying competitive games.

It's inspiration is a combo of WV/VA/MD... northern end of the Shenandoah Valley, rural Maryland in the I-270 corridor region, and northern WV coal country with some western Massachusetts country vibes mixed in.
