I'm choosing to believe that this was a ninja move by Pry:
- He push out an under achieving DC
- But, it will 'appear' that said DC left for greener pastures
- And this make VT look more appealing to future candidates (because they can use it as a spring board for their career)
honestly, if he leaves that would be the best thing to happen to Pry - gets to reset his defense without having to fire someone. I'd be only a little bit disappointed if it happens this way - I'd like to know that Pry can fire someone when he needs to.
I don't think Marve is seriously in contention for any NFL jobs - certainly not as a DC and unlikely as a LB coach - maybe he'll be an analyst or something? I'll believe it when I see it

The only time you should rush the field is if you win a championship or do something you have never done before- beat the #1 team in the country, etc. Other that that- it is busch league. In terms of the flag planting- yes its stupid and yes if I was on the home team, I would take issue with it and not let the opposing team do it.
Bingo. A serious misunderstanding of the placement of the 1st down marker and sideline.
This is one of the big mistakes he makes. A couple times vs Duke and a couple times vs UVA .

When it was rare or after massive upsets or whatnot, you could see it. Now it's so common and lame. I'd like to see more severe punishments for things like this. I mean, not just fines but people getting suspended, forfeiting the games for too many field rushes if you cannot control your crowd time after time. I mean, grow up people.

The Bungles handed him the ball once and he broke off a 14 yard run then never let him touch it again.
Chase Brown had a 40 yard run but on his 11 other carries he averaged 2.7 yards a pop with two eight yards runs included. Most plays he hit the LOS and fell forward.

Don't assume this isn't a firing... I know pry is very much not Nick Saban, but Nick Saban was the king of rehoming coaches without firing them. Pry might be doing something similar.
