Evans would have surely made a different decision if he had the NIL and transfer rules of today. I think he would have stayed in VT if he had NIL, or maybe he gets paid big NIL dollars at an SEC school.
This "game manager" has been mentioned by Pry in the postgame presser. I think he's more of a guy that looks in a book and determines what to do on 4th down, based on percentages. I don't know that he suggests when to take timeouts. But I honestly don't know what he does, this is just my conjecture from the very few words said by Pry on him and the fact that Pry seems to be the only one making decisions on timeouts.
Sure, Drones wasn't hard to repla e with Schlee and still have a good offensive plan. Coney looks like he might be really good, not tuten but still good. Lane and gosnell will be missed but I think Jennings and Felton will easily be replaced. Young LBs have really started to play much better. Young DBs look better than expected, though Mose needs some work. But if Stroman is back, him and Reddish with Mose worked I to the rotation looks good on the back end. Delane didn't do himself any favors so NFL and transfer looks less likely, hopefully he can grow this off season. We just need to figure out how to replace APRs production on the line and we have something cooking assuming the coaches use the talent a bit better and they improve

Curious, have you considered just changing the name of the group that you use to purchase tickets? I mean if instead of Triangle Hokies Chapter, you just had someone call from ACC Road Crew and asked to purchase tickets, would they even know?
Don't need to change the name of the actual chapter. Just have someone call/e-mail as another group. The chapter could then reimburse that person.
Don't know the specifics since I'm not involved with the day to day of the chapter anymore (retired from that when the first kid was born) but we're only talking at most in the 4 figures. Significant for the chapter, but pennies for the Duke Athletic Dept. Which is why its so odd we can't get in touch with anyone. I don't even think Blacksburg had luck talking with them about it.
I mean its been a couple years now, so obviously they didn't care that much, but yeah, still a very odd situation.
Co-worker has a spouse in the Athletic Department. Not going to name names, but Pry did hire somebody to assist and they have not been doing a good job.
Well one of my nephews is considering duke so, it's 4v maybe 1 for my group

No he isn't what we hoped he develop into before the start of this year, but he is going to attract a lot of schools that can most likely drop a bigger bag than VT. Plus, with almost all weapons gone after this year, he probably sees it's better for him to go build up his brand at another school with a competent QB coach/OC
No chance he declares for NFL, unless he's taking some advice as Jerod Evans did.
This makes me think they either were shown evidence that he was most likely guilty OR Miller knows and after conversations decided he wanted out. No idea if either are true but honestly if they had let him keep playing and he was convicted it would have been ugly press that we are better off without....and how would we really know he had stopped shaving if he was?
Honestly looks like a big gain if the wr doesnt bobble

I can't remember what they called it after their review, but I thought it was strange they reviewed it anyway since the outcome was the same.

The sad part is Pry did hire a game time manager to help with the time out issues. He has been incompetent and is going to be let go at end of season hopefully.

honestly, yes. Who care if he's under investigation, he plays until he's convicted, gets us a few wins, and then if he has to go he has to go. It's been proven no one cares about law breakers in sports.
