Put the donors where Cassell Guard was and make them hold the signs and paint their faces since they're such great fans and part of the atmosphere! Problem solved then with the "band noise." My lord, VT donors might be the biggest Karens ever.
Given the last couple final fours, I'll argue that NILing a hoops team is a better use of money than spending whatever we threw at a football team that might get lucky enough to go to a bowl. I couldn't imagine being one of the bigger NIL donors that has some serious cash tied up in the football program only to end up backing a team with an identical record to UVA.

The band used to take up around 50-60 seats in an upper corner section. Now they take up an entire 100+ seats in a courtside (endline) section. that's 50+ less students who can attend, and the students are in worse (corner vs endline) seats.
I want to know why the CBS Pool site has them ranked one way but the CBS scores page has their rankings completely different.

Yea... Everyone wanted to invest completely and fully in football. People are just upset that it isnt paying off (yet... hopefully).
But it's not 'best' - it's 'most outstanding' and what Travis hunter is doing is easily one of the top 5-10 most 'outstanding' things we've seen a college football player do in the past decade.

Being a starter doesn't win you the heisman. Being the best football player in a given season does (despite Vick not getting it year he should have).

Except they still looked empty in that section especially with three complete rows empty directly in line with at least three of their primary camera angles. The free throw cameras were the worst.

Pretty low bar....those are two of the highest quantity positions on both sides of the ball. Not saying he isn't immensely talented but his contributions just don't awe me on either side of the ball so putting them together doesn't make my opinion of his play improve dramatically. It's a great story but that's all it is for me.

Like that deflection INT? HE has a moments because he plays so many snaps, gets so many targets, is he good yes, he isn't Heisman winning good. He is a very smart kid by most accounts, hopefully he gets good advice going into the NFL draft about contracts. 12 WR's make more than highest paid corner, 23 make 20 million a year only 6 corners have that contract.
I'm with you on Travis Hunter. I think people assume he is playing part-time on both sides, however, he is playing 120-130 snaps per game. That is full-time on both sides with minimal coaching and rest between series. He's playing at a really high level and has had a bunch of insane catches.
It's either him or Jeanty. Both have been really impressive but the rarity of what Hunter has been doing and doing it well puts him slightly ahead for me.
Honestly want the entire Marching Virginians to turn up, sit midway up a side and play instruments wherever they sit....bring on the WHOLE band
