This is why I don't take seriously anyone who counts the NIT as a "postseason success" when evaluating CMY or any coach's resume. The NIT has been dead for years. No one cares about it. And nowadays, it's dead, dug up, and killed again.

Update at 1:30 pm- per Squid Acres Kennel, Paige is doing her mandatory 8 hr layover at Ruby during the 'heat of the day. Will be able to leave around 7pm Est I believe.

Sometimes the real hero of the day appears out of nowhere from an unexpected place.
I saw him play when I was a freshman, but don't remember anything but the miserable weather, getting beaten, then having the best steak of my life from a grill with an outside window that was able to serve the whole bus full of Highty Tighties. Liberty bowl against Ole Miss in Memphis. I still rhapsodize about that damn steak, cooked on a flat grill crowded with meat. I didn't have high hopes for the food, but that grill guy surprised me in a way that I'll remember always and will forever compare any steak I eat with that humble, skinny slice of meat. Yeah, the steak was more memorable than seeing Beamer play, sue me.

Won't be in Ashburn much longer or Maryland is my understanding of the new stadium deal. Practice facility will be tied to the new stadium from what I understand. Ashburn probably gets sold for about $500M for two more data centers.

Both Paige & Jesse resting in Ruby as of 11:52 EST. Paige has been there for 1/2 hour and Jesse has been there for 2-1/2 hours. Next two closest are 20 miles back but due to rest at some point.

After looking at a list of potential candidates for the Georgia Tech job I think sticking with Young might be a good call.
