I was never apologizing. I said I was dialing it back. And even if it was, a pseudo-apology is better than a non-apology.
I don't think we have spoiled them. I think we are doing home and homes because we can't afford to just pay them to come to us. If we start selling out every game we might get to that point. For a point of reference Tennessee paid Bowling Green 1.2 million to come to them last season.

# | Heather Dinich, please tell us what you think about Virginia Tech this year.... Is Heather a good Journalist? In my opinion no. Was VT football good after the year 2011? Until this year overall no we weren't. Until we have 10 straight undefeated seasons people have a right to say negative things about our program. Some people here need to get over themselves, hell we don't real have to deal with Heather any more unless we want to. Furthermore, we haven't won against a team that's currently in the top 25 nor are we the only team that controls their own destiny in the coastal. It's fun to talk about how good we are in the bubble that is Hokie Nation, but we have a lot of work to do to earn the respect of other fans.
Something like that. But that's pretty much what VMI has these days, except instead of frat stars it's keydets who are kinda good at football.
I like it and don't mind the addition of App St at all, perhaps at the time the 3-team idea originated they hadn't moved up yet.
I thought about the home games because you're absolutely right, we'd have to give them a home game. I like how you have it set up
No what I'm saying is #InWhitItrust
I got the 4 door so I'm good to go when the kids come along

# | David Teel: Babcock, Fuente, & others to re-examine future football schedules Recruiting has changed dramatically with regards to geography. You seem to be a savvy football guy, I'm sure you have seen the discussions about the Va recruits going out of state more and the geographically diverse classes VT has been bringing in.
If we are doing home and homes with Marshall, ECU, ODU, and App state, we better not be paying them too...

# | David Teel: Babcock, Fuente, & others to re-examine future football schedules As a West Virginian, I'd like to see the WVU rivalry brought back. I know how their fans are and I know that Morganhole is a godawful place, but if we had played WVU every year when we regular contenders in the ACC (2004-2011), WVU would have been a way better rival than UVA or Miami, especially during the Pat White years.
I'm logged out of my Twitter account and I could view it here.
The VT schedule is riddled with P5 matchups. People again seem to think it's easy to get home and home with any team the VT fan base wants. It's not happening.
DJ Matthews Jacksonville Fl native and former Isaiah Ford teammate at trinity Christian HS (current FSU commit) posted a pic of him in his VT jersey on IG. mannn I hope that means we are still working him and hes liking what he is seeing from us on the field now. I would love to get back in the mix for him.
his account is private. I tried save and upload the pic but didn't work.
This is a bad take.
North Carolina State +17.5
Alabama -12.5
North Carolina +7.5
Ole Miss -7.5
Arizona State +3.5
Ohio State -9.5
Every time I see commentary about Heather Dinich:

I'm not talking about the last 10 years. I am talking about future scheduling for which we are in a long-term ODU scheduling agreement starting 2017.

When they're off the schedule, we'll expect proof of membership :p
You should try to TKP harder
I posted this on TSL when somebody linked it, but it's applicable here too.
Heather was assigned the ACC when ESPN started their conference blogs. She had no ACC ties at all, and seemed to be hoping the new assignment would be a springboard to bigger and better things. But that was the nadir of the ACC's national perception, which corresponded with VT winning ACC championships. That meant fewer page views for her blog than others, which held back her career a bit. She seemed to hold it against ACC schools in general, and VT in particular; she was known to actively troll VT fans at the time.
The best example was when one of the licensing companies listed their 50 top-selling schools (I believe Texas, UNC, and Ohio State were on top). She made a pretty snide comment to the effect of "Where's VT, Hokies?" Turns out a 10-second Google search would have revealed VT used a different licensing company than that one. She gave a half-hearted apology later.
Either way, she has another role she clearly likes better, but it's also obvious she still has some resentment.

# | David Teel: Babcock, Fuente, & others to re-examine future football schedules if we want to play big time football in this committee era then we need to play big time programs
What? We do this as much as any team in the country. UT, OSUx2, Nebraskax2, Bamax2, LSU, Boise in the last 10 years. Very few teams have that OOC.
She was poison to her readers (the ACCylum), and she was moved when ESPN closed up shop on their Big East blog. They moved Andrea Adelson, the former BE blogger, to the ACC job, and everyone won.
