Sure, rescheduling should have been possible and that part strikes me as a bit ridiculous, but not having the game today makes sense given the damage I have seen so far in FL.
They probably could have held it Sunday. Called in help from surrounding western FL.
It's less of a matter of weather for the game as it is having a bunch of police, EMS, first responders, etc. tied up watching a football game when people are in serious trouble elsewhere in the state.
Weather update: it's wet
My parents and friends back home in Jupiter road out the storm and actually were a little underwhelmed, not very much damage besides a broken screen from a friends house. I'm in Gainesville so I didn't really get much besides some rain, I am a little pissed that the UF Lsu game got cancelled today because as I look out my dorm window all I see is blue skies...
That's not how The Force works!
UNC fans benefit the most. They have a good excuse to not go to the game, and a can use it again if they lose.
They have better rbs... If they decide to use them, which is questionable
HURRICANE UPDATE Many stations covering storm impact, so you can also watch online! WatchESPN https://t.co/7hyRwr4hcr#BeatUNC pic.twitter.com/ccvgvodXERโ VT Football (@VT_Football) October 8, 2016
Not too much damage in Pooler, Ga (just west of Savannah). I'm just hoping it is clear enough this afternoon for the local station to stop the continuous coverage and show the game...
I hope our offense runs it before our defense sees someone else run it. I think there is a good chance we might. Definitely fits our system, but also seems to be the type of play that could burn aggressive ends and LB pursuit like ours.
UNC is very pass happy and their QB isn't much of a Dual Threat. I would say advantage hokies.
It's pretty wet in Raleigh right now. Hopefully everyone gets to the area safely for the game!
That's the game where Logan Thomas put up Jerod Evans numbers. Game ended with Enter Sandman and Lane Stadium going crazy. 38-35 back and forth shootout.
The Force!
Ah like in the olden days before the invention of electricity! Very old school.
They also later tweeted that was because the GameDay helmets were already on the truck.
Hurricane Hokies!
I'm planning on watching the game with the tidewater alumni in Virginia Beach for the first time. Anyone on here know anyone in that group that's cool to chat with?
But if you don't have power...how will you even see the game......
Andy Bitter just tweeted that the betting line now has the Hokies favored by a point.
Guess we're getting home field advantage bump!
Many people don't know this...but I invented this play, the internet, the BigMac, bacon topping on donuts, and Dr. Pepper playoff system.
Seriously, this is a great wrinkle. Most because of its simplicity. It's the kind of motion/misdirection Fuente's system thrives on. Hope to see it.
I haven't seen anything official, but VT twitter posted practice videos yesterday where it looked like the team was wearing the Tennessee helmets. The 5 things for GameDay info flyer shows all white with maroon helmet.
UNCheat!!!!!!!!!!!!

Their QB was a highly rated dual-threat QB coming out of HS. And he has some wheels. He can run just fine.
