This rain is annoying. Already saw three wrecks!!
If the game in Raleigh is any indication, it is not going to matter who knows where they are going. It matters which way the wind is blowing and who can run on water. Sounds like a job for Sam Rogers.
They have a porous run defense which will help, so I think we will be able to post 220+ rushing yards.
So who does the rain hurt more? Part of me feels if it can help our D vs. their high powered offense.
But it also limits our O against their definitely weaker defense
It's one big Slip-N-Slide in Raleigh!
Look how far the NC State running back slid after he hit the ground. Slightly soggy field ... pic.twitter.com/Myij4Kbnm2— Ryan Fagan (@ryanfagan) October 8, 2016
Photographing a wedding in this rain! Go Hokies! Every wedding I've photographed on Hokie games we have won!
Recent shot of UNC's field. Worst weather yet to come.
Weather update: it's still raining. This update was brought to you by umbrellas. Umbrellas: it would have been a good idea to bring one. pic.twitter.com/8goSzq78dk— Andy Bitter (@AndyBitterVT) October 8, 2016
And here's a quick video from the ND-NC State game:

Maybe we don't understand the candles?
I agree. The receivers know where they are going, the QB knows where they are going, the dbs have to react. The running qb already has an advantage because he can go anywhere at anytime and again, the d will have to react instead of being able to force the action.
I sure hope UNC's field drains better than NC State's
You can see the torrents of rain coming down in the pools on the field. I bet it's miserable on the field, and a blast in the stands!
Yep. Heavy rain with 18mph wind speed (increasing slighty throughout the afternoon) will make deep routes dodgey at best. That goes for both teams. Gusty conditions could make it even worse. Luck will play a larger factor than I'd like today.
Fat man touchdown by Pitt. LT lined up as an eligible receiver. Play moved to the right, and the throwback for a 30-yd TD. Dude is pumped up right now.
Certainly understand that thinking, hope you don't need it. We have one that came with our house. Gas (propane) fired, automatic, runs everything but the kitchen stove and the heat pump, while water, fridge, lights, TV and wall outlets are supplied. Haven't needed it much yet, but living at the Chesapeake Bay, it is a matter of time before we'll be needing it for more than a few hours. Not easy to go out and spend the bucks, but thankfully, the seller of our house made that decision for us. It's also nice not to have to gas it up and get it started when needed, like the middle of the night or when it is really crappy out, plus not storing gasoline for it.
Don't live in Richmond, so I can't vouch for the best, but Rock Bottom Brewery at Short Pump is a decent place to watch sports.
So how similar is UNC and NCSU fields cause wow that is a lot of water.
hope our boys are ready to run
I think soggy field is an advantage to the receivers over the Db's, or advantage to a running quarterback over the defense
Actually the just put it on. Got to see the missed FG!
Thank you for the calibration.
Vegas obviously think Hokies. Tech -3 as of now.
As noted the better running game wins this one.
UNC has talented RBs but they are facing the toughest defense of the year for them. Trubisky can move but I don't think at the level of Evans. He can evade and pick up a first down but I don't think he's a threat to take it 50 yds where Evans can.
If bud takes away the short passes and forces them to go long it's going to be a long day due to wind on the ball and our secondary.
I think this ultimately comes down to the better defense and the better running QB. I think that favors us.
And if your not watching NcST ND then you should. It's going to be a sloppy game.
My Direct TV guide also has it on an espn alternate channel, 209-1.
EXACTLY. Buddy of mine went to Hampden Sydney. Chose Auburn as his team. Can't go near him without hearing that stupid "S-E-C! S-E-C!" chant

Rain will also cause punters to take .5-1 second longer to get off their punt. Could see some beamerball today.
