A lot of plays get call from the couches and armchairs never get run.
I keep calling for a reverse on the Jet Sweep, to no avail!
If I remember correctly, someone said last year that they never practiced in the rain even before the new facility because of the risk of stupid injuries.
Update from my friends and family in Brevard County. Brevard County was pretty much spared any mass devastation. Power was present all night in many locations and is already being restored. There is flooding and Melbourne turned the water off last night, but the flooding is not severe. A couple houses on beachside burnt to the ground (unfortunate).
Amazing, it missed them by just... that ... much.
Here is a quick video of the surf in Melbourne Beach this AM:

I hope Daytona and Jax is spared as well, but they may get it worse. This bastard needs to start turning East. Prayers for Georgia and South Carolina coastal residents.
Hey fellow Hokies!!! Traveling up for the game from Jacksonville Florida and to be honest unprepared we had to pack it up really fast this am and get out of town before hurricane Matthew washed us away. It's just me a friend and my son. I was wondering if I could join anyone's tailgate tomorrow we usually throw down and go all out at our tailgates but just didn't have time this time. If there is anyone we can get together hangout with eat some food talk hokie football and throw back a couple beers it would be much appriciated and we promise to return the favor at the um game. Let me know if there is ablnything you needs us to bring and we will gladly pick it up. Thanks!
Matthew was thinking of going to party further up the East Coast, but then his girl was like "Hey! I got a private cabana in the Yucatan for just the two of us."
Wicked Weed...

Especially considering that they haven't lost a conference game since 2014. They SHOULD expect a win in this game, and anyone else in their shoes would, too.

Here's the thing... Sure UNC has a talented and prolific offense. Sure, even though the D isn't performing well they have some players. But the X-Factor in my opinion is coaching. UNC should have destroyed us last season, and they didn't. VT has a very good coaching staff, period (and that is the key difference here)... and some pretty good personnel to boot.
Larry Fedora has recruited well, but not great. He has a system that creates mismatches and piles up yards. But he has shown everyone that he is stubborn to a fault (See Elijah Hood). He doesn't make very good in-game adjustments and has a history of making some Mike Londonesque types of calls.
On top of all that, UNC has literally beaten NO ONE in recent memory (including a loss to a very average UGA team this season and a putrid USC East team last season, coupled with a massacre against Baylor... I could go on here) and there is no reason to think that Larry Fedora can do anything different this year. UNC has benefited largely from a very weak Coastal Division that, by the end of this season, will prove to be much stronger, at which point UNC will take its rightful place right in the middle of the division.
So yes, put me on the hype train for this week! And yes, paint me confused as to why people aren't seeing these things.
Over/Under: 75.5 plays run by the Virginia Tech offense.
Pierson: Opponents are averaging 75.4 plays per game against the Heels. The Virginia Tech offense is averaging just under 77 plays per game, including two blow-out wins that saw them utilize a predictably run-heavy attack in the fourth quarter. Give me the over.
So you're saying we should end up with 76 or 77 plays, just as usual the past couple of games...
Left Jax at 10 this am barely made it out before they closed all the bridges (for those of you don't know you can't get out of Jax without going on a bridge in some direction) hope everyone back home stays safe and I come back to a home. But for now it's go Hokies!!!!!
It really was that 38th fumble that sealed the deal.
Banana Republic Chocolate.
You joke, but being able to drink at halftime and the fact that there's a dedicated student tailgate lot are by far the best things about going to games there.
I don't generally enjoy the Adam and Joe show because I think they're blowhards, but pretty much everything said there is reasonable. I don't think State will have trouble filling up Carter-Fin on Saturday though, even with the weather.
I trust our ability to run it down their throats over their ability to run it down ours. My only concern is whether or not our guys will hold on to speed option pitches.
I guess people aren't exactly beating down the doors to watch NC State play haha

That old saw? OK, I'll see meself out.
Larry Fedora thinks Harbaugh really was biting his fingernail.

Florida +2.5 come on, they're in the swamp...
Virginia Tech +2.5
Tennessee +7.5
Alabama -13.5
Florida State +3.5
Arizona State +9.5
Seems like a proper weekend to break out some NC brews.

Obligatory
