Name's Austin. Born and raised in Northern Virginia. My inner contrarian caused me to root for VT out of spite, as my father is a UVA alum. First Hokie game I ever watched was the 2004 matchup with USC at Fedex Field, been a fan ever since.

Graduated from Tech in May with a degree in Public Relations and moved back to Northern Virginia with my parents. Currently looking for a place of my own with my girlfriend. (Another UVA alum, don't know how I put up with them all) Was able to to make the Liberty game, and am hoping to make the next 3 home games as well as a possible trip to South Bend.

As my username implies, I fly airplanes for a living. Currently work as a flight instructor teaching people to fly, hoping to make the jump to the airlines within the next few months.

I'm Don, born in Canada and moved to Virginia when I was 8. First saw VT campus when I was 12 and never even thought of going anywhere else. Eventually got to VT after a sojourn at Virginia Western Community College first because High School was lots of fun. Survived a year in Pritchard (also fun) and graduated from VT in 1994. After a brief tour in the stock market finally made it to medical school and now living the dream out in Nebraska. Got a great surprise for my 17 year old man-child this year...tickets to the Thursday night Miami game. He doesn't know yet so lets keep it on the down low...

Be sure to do it soon if you can. I've always loved breakfast stout but hadn't had it fresh until last year, a totally different experience, the stronger coffee taste pushes it to another level.

Warhokie is my young'un. He and his twin were practically born on campus while I was in my 1st year of grad school at VT (Math). If you took Calc 1, in 89-90, College Algebra Summer of 90 or Business Math in Fall 90 and had a white guy as the TA (Calc 1) or Instructor, it may have been me. I apologize for what ever grade was inflicted upon you. I current do nerdy stuff for the Marketing org, in a VERY large IT company and I'm back in school trying to earn the PhD that my sons interrupted.

Its the most points weve scored in a 4 game opening stretch since 2003, and in 2003 our schedule was against UCF, JMU, Texas A&M and UConn.

The nice thing about DirecTV is that they're pushovers to negotiate with because so many people are leaving them.

I feel your pain on the satellite, I live in Wyoming so for basically all of football season it's snowing and I have to clean off my satellite to have signal. I built a snow scarper with an extended arm so that I don't have to walk outside, but just opening the door in -20 is pretty damn bad.

Seriously though, in my yard, I literally only have one spot for a satellite, and I had DISH for the first two or three years here. That spot was the farther corner of my yard, so if snow or something piled up on the dish, I couldn't just lean out a window and knock it off. So, I really appreciate the signal reliability of cable. Besides, I really don't like what I've seen of Direct's interface.

I'm surprised the NFL hasn't tried to figure out how to expand Sunday Ticket. Or, create a third 1 PM broadcast window and shop that around to another network (probably ABC).
