Can verify this. I used to go to the fair every year from 3rd to 8th grade with school and then stay that night for my birthday party (Oct 4th). It rained every single year.

French, that was simply outstanding stuff. Thanks! Love the use of video.

Curious to know your assessment of Cunningham. Couldn't help but notice on the throwback screen he opted to run OB to avoid contact. Not a super-common TE maneuver. On the Ford overthrow, it looked like he was sort of half-assing it (though I only got a glimpse of a few steps before the ball got there, so that may not be correct). It also looked like he might've had a shot at it had he laid out. Then he dropped the TD ball which was as perfectly thrown as a ball can be. Everyone drops balls (heck, Ford even dropped one last game leading to an INT), but it just adds to my mixed impression of his play

I don't like to talk about 2000 just because I get REAL fucking mad that a mediocre Notre Dame team went to the Fiesta Bowl instead of us on name alone and got their doors blown off by Oregon State. And all because we lost to a pretty damn good Miami team that finished with one loss and beat the national champions as well. AND our best player was hurt for that game. I hate the BCS and NCAA for that as well.

Also, I may be slightly unhinged, but I have been looking forward to playing Notre Dame to wreak vengeance upon them for that season ever since they announced the Irish were becoming a "Just the Tip" ACC member. They have things to answer for.

Depends where you are. friend just sent me a picture, shes up to 8" of rain already

We got married in September and now we celebrate our anniversary at the tail-gate with all of our Tech family. Of course it has been 30+ years ago.

I don't read it as people saying the points don't count. If a team starts it's drive on its own 20, the probability of scoring a TD are .15. If they start at their opponents 20 the probability is .50. If 3 drives after turnovers had an average starting field position of the VT 20, then they got over 3X as many points from those drives as if they'd had to start at their own 20. Seems like that makes a huge difference in a 17 point game.

Edit:
Not to mention the obvious momentum shift that they got from the 1st turnover.

Do NOT try your hand at stand up comedy while waiting for VT football to return. Trust me.
