Additionally, we are all on the same page I think. I was trying to say that the playbook will expand with time, not because we have different personnel.

It certainly helps to have his choice of talent at the QB position. I will always love Motley and have high hopes for Jackson, but Evans is Fuente's guy and the ones coming in next are as well.

Fuente inherited a lot of talent, and when asked about his philosophy, he said that he wants to tailor the offense to the talent he has. If he wants to move in a different direction, he will recruit accordingly. But it's not like he's trying to hammer a square peg into a round hole. He knows what he has and he's building an offense around it. Any shift in philosophy will be progressively introduced over a period of years.
I like the HOAT, but I just can't accept UVa on a VT cornhole set, other than for the UVa game. Plus, the number would need to change every year...
This. I'm pulling for UT the rest of the season.

Hear me out... the more they win the better we look. Any person who understands football knows that we should have played them better @ Bristol. We only benefit from their winning.
Hard to say. I have to imagine we're very near, if not already at, the saturation point for camps. They require a lot of time and money. Outside of Michigan, Texas, Bama, and a few others, schools just don't have the cash to keep up in that arms race. An early period may increase the significance of each camp, but I don't know that I would be confident in any prediction about the number or scope of the camps themselves.
It happens. Then you have to decide whether or not to drink the wine coolers left behind from when your sister was visiting last. The sweat forms on your brow as you agonize about the decision: sober football or the disgustingly sweet vessel of alcohol. As you reach for one of the diabetes inducing bastard you remember the bourbon you hid away for a special occasion. You victoriously slam the fridge door as you joyously go to the secret hiding spot and pour yourself some. As you strut back to the couch you realize all is right with the world.

I have another thought. Would this affect the "camping crisis" that we've seen the past few summers? Would it explode into something uncontrollable or would schools not have as many?
Mathematically speaking, based on the record through four games, this is the best team since either 2013 or 2011.
Since the 2014-2015 started off 2-2, we can say 2016 is better through four games. 2012 and 2013 also started 3-1, so maybe we're on the same level? Although those squads didn't have the massive blowouts that this team has had.
2011 started out 4-0.

100% this. everyone is talking about how confident they are with UNC and how we should have beat UT and be 4-0 right now. With the way the offense and defense have performed this is the scariest VT team i have seen in the past 10 years. I will say there was a time where being a Tech fan felt invincible. You just knew they were going to be in every game and had a shot at winning (which they did a lot). But ever since 08, the mentality became which game (or two) are we gonna lose that we have no business of losing and which game are we gonna win that we have no business of winning.
Mentality can be something that is oft overlooked and it starts with the coaches. The mentality that Fuente and his staff bring is a welcome relief to what has been here the past few seasons. No disrespect to CFB whatsoever, but the past few seasons have felt emotionless and stale save for the sadness of seeing CFB actually retire. This team seems fired up. I, too, reserve judgement until we have beaten some real teams...but I am cautiously optimistic.
