Name's Barry. I grew up in Greenville SC in a die hard Clemson family. Both parents and my sister are tigers. I came to Tech as a freshman in 2007 on a sports scholarship (not football). My first OV and my first Tech game was the 2006 Thursday night game against Clemson. I was hooked. My sister was a senior at Clemson at the time and was at the game as well. We have been a little bitter towards each other's schools ever since.
My next visit to campus was April 15-16 of 2007. In two visits I was able to see campus at its most jubilant and its most somber. However what I saw from the community and the VT fanbase during these two visits helped bring my college search to an end. I knew I was going to be a Hokie.
Fast forward ten years and I'm now back living in SC just below Greenville with my wife (who I met at Tech) and our two dogs. I'm currently a Student Pastor at a church on the edge of the Greenville/Piedmont line. I'm passionate about competitive powerlifting (which I got into at Tech), cooking and consuming large quantities of meat, and hiking/backpacking with the wife and dogs.
You all may hate me for this but I really don't care too much for the cake vs. pie debate. If I had to choose I would say I'm team cake but honestly I would typically rather have another helping of meat than dessert. Oh and while Top Gun is decent I'm more of a Tombstone man myself.

Yes - if a player is in the back field - off the line - they can line up wider and it does not count. That is why you often see the players who line up wide look to the side judge (ref by the ball maker) and point at them. The ref will let them know if he thinks they are lined up on the line or offsides as a courtesy.

My name is Eric. Grew up in Stuarts Draft, VA (going to our 30th HS reunion the 8th, hopefully after the UNC game (please be a nooner). Chose VT engineering over UVA, Duke and GT because it felt like home. Met my wife in the Cellar going into my senior year when she picked me up with the line "Weren't you first in line for Grateful Dead tickets at Heironimous?" Stuck around VT for some grad school and to wait for her to finish before teaching high school hoodlums in Roanoke for a few years. Currently living in Kernersville, working in industrial real estate. Father went to UVA for Grad school, Father-in-law went to WVtech and roots for WVU, oldest son currently at UNC, so I wear a lot of O&M but go easy on the trash talk.

I really never thought THE Dirk Smirkley would be in Scott County. I worked my first job in/for Scott County and that place will always be a second home to me. I miss riding those gravel backroads so much. If my wife wasn't against it, I'd buy a house on AP Carter Hwy and retire there.
