Yeah, that doesn't sound right at all. That would mean 20% growth in undergrads & 400% growth in grad students.

I'd say if 50k is the actual projection, it would be 10k grad students at the most and probably more like 7,500.

Whether you're into craft beer or not, The Veil is making some of the best/most sought after beers in the country. The Answer and Triple Crossing also great. Three Notch'd just opened their doors to the public yesterday, and I'm excited to go check it out myself tonight.

The Broadberry has some killer shows coming up this fall/winter that I'm really looking forward to: Tauk, Motet, Big Something, to name a few.

Hannibal Buress is coming to Altria next Friday 10/7

I wasn't born here, but I love this city

Asking the important questions here.

you guys did a great job when i attended in '11 but unfortunately won't be able to make it this season... i'm thinking '18 and i can assure you i'll bring additional 757 Hokies with me to support the Triangle Hokies

outside of eating/drinking well, i remember the Duke Blue Devil was hesitant to get his(?) picture taken with a bunch of semi-drunk VT undergrads until he finally relented. also got to get into one of Duke's practice courts which is where they had their merchandise shop.

What is up TKP family, I'm Nick (nice name OP!). I live in Christiansburg, VA and go to Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke. Fell in love with Hokie sports at a young age (even though neither of my parents went there), and have bled orange and maroon since. I love anything outdoors and sports related, specifically soccer, basketball, football, hunting, kayaking, hiking, photography and anything at the beach. I despise LOLUVA and find their football program to be adorable (in a demeaning way). I would say I hate WVU as well, but I have family who attended and cheers for the Eer's so I'm going to say that I hate the part of the fanbase that isn't my family.

Yeah, I absolutely love the state of Tennessee and the surrounding area! I live in Virginia, but I work in Tennessee haha. Pigeon Forge is about the same distance from here to Blacksburg, so we're down there often. It's beautiful, especially in the fall.

Saw Blackberry Smoke at The National back on St. Patrick's day weekend...nice venue.

I have been to Ben's many times (we used to take students there as part of our community site visit program.) I ate there once or twice and then learned that going to the ethiopian place across the street was a better deal/food. I like the half smokes, but I don't like their chili.

Go Navy!

My father-in-law went to the Academy, and was career Navy. Actually still works at the Academy. Love going to the Army - Navy game every year.

The song itself doesn't bother me that much. It's that fuggin 'WOO' between rocky top and rocky top that makes me lose it

The Camel and Broadberry are excellent, and (part) owned by one of my best friends, who is married into a Hokie family.

If you're a RVA Hokie, you should patronize these places and support the local economy through drinking and listening to excellent music.

I'm Brian. Graduated from Tech then went to sea because I am a glutton for punishment. After a few tours in the sandbox I am a retired Navy Diver and EOD TECH, now a government worker still working in the diving area for the Navy. Live in Alexandria, Work in DC and vacation wherever there is sand or snow. I love NFL Football, Hokie and Navy Football (Dad went to the Academy), Dodgers and Nationals, and Men's college hoops though to be honest I will watch pretty much any sporting event with a beer or scotch. My 6 year old son already wants me to teach him how to "play Hokie" and he is getting his younger brother and sister to play along.

I have been known to drink and TKP and get many downvotes on occasion...

ps-Cannot eat cake or pie without a scoop or 3 of ice cream...
