Their stadium is much larger, but what effect does that have on coaching? If we are talking purely aesthetics, Lane is every bit as nice if not nicer and Virginia Tech's campus is wonderful. Never been to LSU's campus so can't comment on theirs.

Les was making 4.3 after years there with a national title to boot.

There campus and stadium dwarfs us. They have SEC money that can buy anything they want for sure.

I don't think Petrino leaves. He can get to a national title where he is now. He just beat the juggernaut of the conference and will probably beat Clemson as well.

Is Malzahn really on the hot seat? I could see him becoming the O-Coordinator at South Carolina since Muschamp can't coach an offense.

It's also a much easier path to the playoff in the Coastal. He has it made here. Also, I just went and looked at their facilities online and they aren't much, if any, better than ours. I'm going to assume they are in the process of updating because a lot of their stuff looks woefully outdated.

LSU can probably match that though.

Isn't their stadium in disrepair?

Art Briles is another great candidate for them. Louisiana might just be the place that looks the other way and hires him. They have an offense problem.

Better recruiting grounds, easier sell, and being a competitive person are all reasons he could leave. LSU facilities are much better then ours.

It's a better overall job. Short of us winning a national title, I don't think he would take it as is.

Here is a head scratcher for all. I thought of this and am not sure it is completely correct but may have some legs to it.

Bud and his guys:

We have noticed a huge up tick in their play. Yes the next class of DBU is being born with another year's experience and we are deeper across the board BUT...

Could it be that part of the reason for this ( it would never be said) is the new FU "Twilight Zone" offense has
the defense feedingoff this reborn O that has sadly let them down for years. In other words, did the years of O'Cainspring and Scotty L I'M at BC pull Bud and his crew down the sewer with them? LIke who GAS, we can't do enough!

This is carrying over to ST also as we witnessed. The whole team has had a shot of Penicillin and is feeling froggy again! Yeah like "lets go get some".

My point is and I am not glad to say this but over the last few years the entire program has been in a state of malaise and that this new regime has reinvigorated EVERYONE!

Just a thought.

In its current form, probably not. In the short run, we're gonna lose Ford and Bucky this spring, so we won't have the same vertical consistency, but that can be worked around. Also if Cornelson keeps this up, he's gonna fall bass ackwards into a HC gig within 5 years. So we should expect scheme changes in the medium run. But I think Fuente is ours for good, so the attitude, the tenacity, the spirit, and the points are going to be hallmarks of VT football for a long time.

Wow, that's big news. Orgeron should be good though.

That commercial they run for the school is going to be a little awkward next weekend

Why in the bloody hell would he leave us for that mess? He's got it made here, and he's already bought himself time. He doesn't win immediately there and he'll be run out of town. And winning for LSU means SEC titles and national championships... In the same conference as Alabama.

No, Fuente isn't leaving. Just don't even with that nonsense.

Mike Leach is at WSU in the Pac12

Or move on to spend a ridiculous amount of time at a G5 like Mike Leach.
