I'm still nervous about this game
I think ECU is, at worst, the second best team we will have played to date. And we all know what happened in Bristol. I'm worried the BC game is a red herring. That game was a nightmarish disaster for them. Their offense couldn't move the ball (which isn't surprising) and as a result their defense got gassed. I don't think it'll look as easy for us again this season. I would love to be wrong.
ECU is going to get points. What I'm interested in seeing is how this team responds to adversity. At the first sign of trouble in Bristol this team completely crumbled. When ECU scores (and they will) I want to see our team come out and execute like they did against BC..and not crumble under the pressure. But until I actually see this team bounce back from some adversity against a good team I'm not going to have tons of confidence. I'm cautiously optimistic this team can beat ECU. I just hope we don't have to get the perfect storm to make it happen.

Talk about being spoiled silly!!! Going from watching Al Clark then MV7 the following year, all of us didn't know MV7 would lead us to the the NC. Out of my roomates and I, three of us got tickets. I was the only one who kept mine and went to the NC. What a memory at 20 years old! Priceless!!
Oh, had Shyrone Stith remained healthy that game and not out for the game during the 1st quarter, there might have been a different ending. Our run game sufferred with him out.

I'm psychologically conditioned to dread and loathe this game. Do I have a little bit more optimism than past years? Yes. But I'm still not going to be breathing easy until the clock strikes 0:00 with the good guys ahead.

I agree that it isn't his fault, but the WRs have also made some catches over DBs that could have just as easily been INTs. It's part of the game to get INTs that aren't your fault and get away with some that probably could have easily been INTs.
Think it's a bit early (3 games, 2 against real opponents) to say if it's broke or not. Take away the 1 long run against UTjr and the #s don't look as good.
With Tmac's long run 143 carries for 615 yards and a 4.3 YPC average.
Without 142 carries for 3.8 ypc average.
2015 545 carries for 2071 yards and a 3.8 ypc average just for another reference point.

Eddie Royal has quietly put together a very solid NFL career. Too bad he's been stuck with Cutler and Rivers. There are worse QBs to play with but he'd be a touchdown scoring machine with Tom Brady. I know everyone plays well in New England but Royal just seems like a perfect fit for that system.
