I think the run calls were a chance to slow down the game and allow the defense to get a break, granted we didn't get 1st downs.
That is the problem with the speed spread offense. If you don't move the chains, your Defense is going to be gassed.

I'm a glass is half full kind of guy, and I really don't think the season is a waste now that UT made us look pedestrian, but Evans is not a good QB.
This was the one take-away I had that was a major negative.
His deep balls were severely under thrown/over thrown, his timing routes were always high or low. His running ability and his ability to see the field was just non-existant.
He is a big guy and has some feet, but has not shown his ability to put the ball into a spot IMHO.
I know that we have slim pickings for QB but I have to wonder if JJ isnt going to get some starts in a few more weeks.
I can't place blame on Evans, but I also don't see him carrying the team like in the days of Tyrod or Logan.
Both were called Personal Fouls - Blocking below the waist.
One was called an illegal block, the second was called a personal foul, but watching it live, the two plays were almost identical. In both instances, Wyatt's predilection for going low is what drew both flags.
I get that low man wins, but that's off the snap. Once you're away from the LoS, initiating low is a risky proposition.
Well, I mean... I like pie as much as anyone here... but the only thing that comes back is this...

Positive: The energy, excitement, dedication, and passion of #HokieNation was incredibly palpable through social media and the TV coverage. The offense flashed signs of pure brilliance and ended up with 400 yards of offense (CRAZY!) and that was beautiful to see. These things put together created an amazing atmosphere for the Manhattan Hokies game watch we hosted with over 150 in the house. Even with the things we need to fix (ball security, focus, discipline) it's positive to see more people excited and 'showing up' again after a frustrating couple of years.
Mimosas for the Orange Effect... at least that's some synergy.
We have a winner for best original Lefty hate.
