Steve Addazio says Moto is his best offensive player.
I will say I'm a little discouraged by all the hand wringing over the coaching staff right now.
This. How about we give the staff a couple of seasons? It's not like we just lost to Richmond.
Our defenses have succeeded in the past not only from having great athletes, but by having solid schemes and predictable assignments.
I'm no expert on our offense, but too much of the lore of our success seems rooted in the heroics of relying on an improvisational Tyrod or a 3rd & Logan.
I'm not sure that anybody is doubting the scheme that Cornelson is installing. I just think it's going to take time to trust that 2nd and 4 is good enough, and not worth losing the ball to try and get us the 2nd and 2.
You think maybe they're trying "too" hard out there?
Addazio has less hair than fans at the LOLUVA spring game.
Wait, I take that back. He has more hair.
No, less.
...
Addazio has the same amount of hair as fans at the LOLUVA spring game.
Even worse is that this year the booth officials can call targeting even if they don't call it on the field.
Too Soon :(
that was a part of it and there was a heated argument as well on other stuff
See every gamethread from the past three seasons for "Hatin' On Coach Lefty".
Addazio runs the Run-Run-Pass-Punt offense

Addazio thinks tailback jet sweeps from the shotgun position is the most effective way to move the ball forward.
I'm a little ignorant on the mechanics of how the snap is initiated. Does Evans initiate the snap, as in, does he tell the center when to snap? That's what I thought happened, which would put blame on Evans because the timing was way off. Seemed to be snapped late, like right when Carroll was in front of Evans.
Scott Loeffler went to BC to work and learn under the offensive genius, Steve Addazio.
This should be a "Hatin on Addazio AND Lefty" thread.
In general he looks tentative to me. Doesn't mean the guy's without skill, but he's never shown anything that would scare me if I were an opposing coach. He's obviously got good speed but IMO he takes too long to get going. I'd like to see the coaches give Murphy a chance to show what he can do.
VT is pretty terrible when it comes to big time games and big time opponents.
If I'm understanding this correctly, you may be able to solve it by either selling a kid or buying one extra ticket, though there's the real possibility that I'm missing some other nuance.
Edit, Oh, I see one of these was already covered.
Positive: We looked like a complete football team for the first quarter and despite the fumbles had flashes of a complete team throughout the game.
Negative: Defense gave up too many yards after contact to Hurd. I know he's a stud but we are in for long games if we tackle Hood and Conner like that. Interior line shuffling is boneheaded, regardless of who has better practices. Didn't give the ball to the best player on the field, Isaiah Ford, every drive multiple times. Absolutely mind boggling how underutilized he was when trying to make a comeback.
Concur, that was a textbook targeting call and they flat missed it.

Have you considered selling your least favorite child? It'll pay dividends in the long run too, since that's one less tuition to worry about.
I keed, I keed. But since you already covered "drinking more beer" I couldn't think of anything else.

# | Ask TKP: What's your one positive and negative takeaway from Battle at Bristol? I don't think it's a buy in issue. It's more likely an issue with learning a new offensive system. It's just like a college classroom, some people learn at different paces. Unfortunately in football everyone shares results. You might be right, but I think everyone on this website is over analyzing things.
I am still infuriated that they didn't eject the player for the helmet to helmet hit on Evans.
Somewhere in the last month I started getting the feeling that this changed from a neutral site game to a UT home game. I'm wondering if it was a concession that we had to make to get UT to agree to the game that wasn't publicized.
That said, I thought BMS put on a world class event. It felt like a big game, it felt special. Being a part of it was awesome. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

And-a-my friend, Loeff-igi
