Yeah there doesn't need to be 10 different topics on post game thoughts. The staff does a great job of covering some angles such as the post game thread, slept on it, and others. In the future I'd like to see a weekly One Positive and One Negative discussion thread, I enjoyed that.

Pros: Defense looks capable of carrying the load of a sluggish offense, conversely, offense looks anything but sluggish. Less the turnovers, you get a feeling that this team could be really solid nearing seasons end, barring substantial injuries. They do have a lot of talent on either side of the ball, you just can't win without ball security.

Cons: Turnovers, and moreso, embarrassing themselves in primetime via turnovers. That ain't good for crootin'. Even my local high school's team, which passes less than 10 times a game never coughs it up more than 2 or 3 time a game. We have a hit a season's worth of fumbles in 2 damn games, one of which to an FCS defense. That was a demoralizing loss since we handed UT an easy win. I could have salvaged some self-worth out of a defeat, but not one like that.

Also Punting, that was pathetic. Anywhere in 4th and short past the 50 yard line, we might as well go for it. I suppose I never read into the '5th year for AJ Hughes' campaign/jokes as well as I should have. Ludwig is miserable, so I can't imagine how bad the other guys who competed must have been.

OT, I wonder what the site traffic looks like before, during, after a loss like this. Do the site admins look at this at all? Anything they'd publish?

Speaking for myself, I had a tough time navigating to TKP come Sunday, onward. I was pained by every friend and neighbors friendly inquiry like "Hey hokiesamsquanch, how'd your Hokies do last night", as I try to make a lighthearted joke about the #chokies, escape additional questions, run back to my home and commence sobbing. Frankly, I only came today only to do the bitching summed up in my 'Cons' and will then return into a ~2 day hiatus until I bring myself to get excited enough for BC and ACC play.

In a hilarious twist on this complaint, my buddy exited our seats in Pearson Terrace and walked down through an unchecked security checkpoint and spend the remainder of the game in the VIP seats and walking around the track. Took his picture next to skipper and the race car setup.

I almost saw a fight between a bunch of Hokies when a guy in VT gear started yelling "F-you, you are not real Hokies" at a group of VT fans leaving the game after the last fumble to the 5 yd line. I was ready to help them shut the dude up if they turned on him. I told him he was acting like an asshole and got an F bomb my way for it. Shameful.

Don't understand comment's about CF's posture in the game. If this was week 2 of a new team to you on a big stage and you kept fumbling the ball how would you react. You are still trying to get adjusted to where your team is at. I left that game purely satisfied on our game plan just hold on to the ball and we would of had that in the bag. Tennessee did not impress me as a team. Didn't surpass 100 yds on throwing and if it weren't for their QB's effectiveness to get lost in the pile and split outside they would of had trouble too. As for the good guys, I see good things coming, we definitely have a different team that is learning each week (i.e. McMillan's long run in 1st quarter). The blocking was perfect and he took off! The defense is still LPD and this offense is much more effective then the last 3 years.

I think the philosophy is fine, and is similar to what other college teams are doing.
It's almost like the Armed Service teams that run the option. It's an attempt to make athleticism less important and rely on sound fundamentals.

Unfortunately the fundamentals are not there. This team is having a hard time gelling, and it starts with getting guys that want to play in this type of system.

Right now, WR's aren't blocking, the O-line is inconsistent, and the QB can't put the ball into the spots it needs to be.

Also the RB by committee never works well, especially when no groove can be felt by the back.

There is a laundry list of reasons this offense looked bad, but at least there is hope for the future in that we will be able to get system guys and don't have to recruit our faces off to be a consistent offense.

positives.......we moved the ball very well ...very well, can see offense developing into something really good!

negatives......Other than the obvious, Penalties!!!!
