Did she die?
Pictures? I need to see, now!
I leave tonight after work. Man, it is hard to do any work right now!
We have about 23 RV's & motor-coahes in our group
Hot damn. Mrs. Hokie_Hi, myself and some friends will be power sliding into town tomorrow afternoon. I'm pumped but my crowd feels pretty weak sauce compared to that.

I typically get threatening looks when I hand out water bottles to random kids.
Especially when the water bottles aren't filled with water!

Great stuff
Tennessee, not even thinking about UNC right now because as the saying goes.....

I get this image of the caravan from Mad Max: Road Warrior.
Watching these videos, it seems like App State is a well-coached, underrated team.
Guys seem schooled and know where they need to be.
Should be an interesting game at Bristol strategically on both sides of the ball.
clearly my memory sucks then. Sorry about that :(
you're 3 years my senior so it's unlikely we know each other. I went to BW from '93-'99, then Jack Jouett '99-'02 and Albemarle from '02-'06
grew up in Earlysville but nowhere near the Greene/Albemarle line
UT definitely has a lot more on the line than we do, Butch is in year 3 of his rebuild and its time for them to put up or shut up. That said, the one thing we can't afford is to get blown out of the stadium circa LSU 2007. I think that could really shatter any confidence Fuente and Co. have been trying to instill in this team. Stay calm, play your assignments, and keep it competitive and I think the team leaves in a good place. Catch a few breaks and get a few break-out performances and we can leave with the win.
Thats probably due to the clown costume. People hate clowns these days.
dammit, I hate it when UT pouches our recruits.

*jaw drops*
I want to see the Hokies utilize Jerod's legs a bit more in this game as well. He is a big/powerful QB, and in a grind-it-out game he is going to have to convert some 3rd and shorts on his own. We ran a lot of zone plays but not true zone-reads against Liberty, so that should loosen up things between the tackles if he pulls a couple early and hits the edge.
On D, I think you were spot-on and the formula is simple. Contain Hurd/Kamara as much as you can and force Dobbs to beat you with his arm. It will be very interesting to see the zone-looks that Bud gives considering reading a secondary and anticipating throws is not Dobbs' strength. I expect Tennessee to be pretty conservative on offense to try and force our O to beat them.
I think we've been through this before. My folks live near the Greene-Albemarle border. Depending on the year and the shifting district lines, we either went to Meriwether Lewis or Broadus Wood. I was at BW from 1st through 5th.

Tennesee has way more to lose and that's one of the reasons they never scheduled this annually. If the lose to us they lose a very big recruiting territory for their school.
That is the one thing I am worried about. If we do lose then the State of Virginia will have more of its player pouched by anothe SEC school. It's bad enough Florida has been able to do it in years past.
Maybe the poor edge blocking against Liberty was all part of the long con.
I hope.
On one 3rd and long, App State brought 3 and went to blanket coverage. Dobbs almost got sacked and ended up throwing it to the fans in the third row. I'm pretty sure Bud can do whatever the heck he wants with their O-line on passing downs. The trick is to get the stops on 1st and 2nd to get them there.
Tennessee easily. UNC still hasn't got their defense together. UGA ran for nearly 300 yards. We don't have their run game but thats still terrible. App St may have ran down UTs throat, but they have way more talent than UNC and I think Shoop will fix them more than UNC can be fixed.

One game at a time is for the coaches and players. That's why we talked about Tennessee all summer instead of Liberty
