Clemson Clemson'ed at Clemsoning
Me when I realize how well the defense played and we didn't really even miss Adonis Alexander....

I knew Auburn's offense was bad, but they look like eleven square pegs trying to fit into a circle hole.
Clemson's D line looks great, but this offense makes some of our bad offenses look like Baylor.
You're talking about the PI on 3rd and Goal from the 5 in the 1st quarter I think. PI put the ball 1st and Goal on the 2 and they punched it in on the next play.
Something for our specialists to take pride in

The ONLY punt return resulted in a SAFETY for the Good Guys!
Also, Isaiah Ford is good at football.
Woah, buddy, let's not get too excited.
I think you mean "Invisible Bike" Mihota, like
Totally agree and your counterpoint is really the point that I was trying to make. Let's not get hung up on the scores that Memphis had in previous years against lesser competition. This is a completely different scenario now.
A counterpoint might be that Memphis as a team was not on the same level as Tech. The quality of opponent rises, but so does Fuente's own talent pool. It's all relative. Let's see what he can do with a Porsche 911 as opposed to a
Chevy Malibu.
so hard
Clemson just tried Clemsoning there hard.
why didn't Clemson kick a fg? I don't get it

Really don't understand how/why John Franklin III ended up there. He's just an athlete who can make plays with his feet, and after watching Last Chance U on Netflix, I really don't understand how he got a D1 offer to play at Auburn yet the guy who beat him out for the starting job at East Mississippi community college got 0 D1 offers and is currently just a normal full-time student at Mississippi State. Franklin might have wheels but he is by no definition a good quarterback.
Given how much better we looked with them in I hope Fuente was trying to sandbag for UT.
The implosion going on over at the sabre is pretty entertaining too. People already calling for Bronco to be fired and saying they won't win more than 2 games this year when last week they were sold that this would be an 8 win season.
Personally I was very happy with the game. No dumb penalties. We did have dumb turnovers but I expected a slow start getting used to the offense. Evans looks pretty darn good and just needs to be more accurate. Ford is legit, will be sad to see him leave after this year. Whatever Teller has done to piss off the coaches he needs to fix because we clearly need him in there. The D looked surprisingly good to me. Stroman, Mook and others played very well. I thought we would have some mistakes and they didn't. Good on Bud.
Highlight of my day: Two of my close friends who are UVA fans dismissed their loss. One said, "Look it was a bad football game, but it's ok. At least we didn't run it up the middle every play." Whatever they are smoking in Charlottesville, I'd love to try.
Tomorrow the tailgating prep for the Bristol begins. Tennessee Sucks. If anyone wants to play ring toss prior to the game, I'll have a 4 way set up in the American lot
Did McMillian and Teller both sit out the first QTR?
All I have to say is thank goodness we locked Evans up before Auburn realized they have no QBs.
Today when the scoreboard would show the DBU when our DB's got interceptions my wife said "why is it spelled wrong it says D-B-U it's supposed to be B-U-D" and then I explained to her what DBU means and it wasn't misspelled and we had a good laugh about it.
Most likely because it was on TV on KWHB out of Tulsa. If ESPN thinks it's on a TV near you, they black it out. That's why I post the affiliate list and recommend the ACC app and website.
Gus Malzahn on why he played 3 QBs in the first two series of the game: "That was the plan the whole time, now we have it figured out (who their QB is)."
Really?? After Spring Ball, after Fall Camp what you needed to figure it out was the first two series of the first game?
Not often that Wisconsin gets some hate (some ribbing from my Minnesota relatives but that's all). What's gelded your stallion for the Badgers?
Right up until the USC/Alabama groin-stomp, I agree with you.

I am the eternal optimist, yet watching that last play being called an incomplete pass was quite atrocious. The college game has turned into a ridiculous joke with what determines a catch. It almost felt pre-determined that UGA had to win due to the crowd & location. I only feel bad for UNC because it directly hurts us. The greater the conference the more respect we have. Unfortunately, the referees dictated this game with a SEC bias.
