I concur with what most folks are saying on Rogers. He's a beast, but he's not a tailback. On one jet sweep, they had him running from way across the field and trying to get to the corner. I love Sam, but that just ain't happening.

I also agree that TM looked a little hesitant. And yes on Shai, hope he gets more playing time.

I liked C.J. Carroll going up high to catch a ball that was overthrown, and had some other nice plays, picked up some good yardage on a jet sweep, and a couple of other catches, I think.

About halfway through the third quarter must be when the payment cleared the ref's accounts. Cause it was one sided refereeing after that.

I agree with you. He looked more hesitant. It didn't look like he was running with the same confidence he had at the end of last year.

It was just two plays, but I liked the brief glimpse of Henri Murphy. Looked super fast on the end around and made a very nice catch on the sideline. That catch made it look like he's more than a track guy. Very early results, but I'm thinking we have something in #12, maybe next year.

What stood out to me in terms of speed was the the officiating and pace of play. I don't think I have ever been to a more frustrating game for stoppages in play. Granted that was partly because Liberty couldn't seem to figure out how offense worked for a while. Felt like every single play was reviewed and every opportunity went to a TV timeout.

Biggest takeaway for me was Isaiah Ford is good at football. (Breaking News). There was a portion of that game where they went in to the drive and literally said throw it in the vicinity of Isaiah and were going to move the ball. Some of those throws could not have been been made against Tennessee but Ford had his man beat all day and it wasn't close.

Evans is poised but just needs to work on his accuracy. He threw a decent ball for Deablo that should have gone for a huge completion but he missed Ford a couple times deep down the field.

I do think that we can beat the Tennessee team that showed up vs App State Thursday night. Anything better than that and it may get dicey though. It will be interesting to see what Foster does to shut down Tennessee's uber talented run game because I am relatively confident now that we are going to be able to hang with their best effort through the air.

Slow start but great first effort for Fuente in Blacksburg. Pumped for Bristol.

This is all on Wyatt. Everyone, including CJF, knows he is by far the best OL & would be starting if his head is on straight. Don't know what the issue is but if he comes to practice like he did just on this one play, he will be where he needs to be. I love pancakes & am hungry for more. Get that grill going Wyatt. You are the culinary expert 'round here.

You can change one letter in Butch and make him into a female one.

Man was pulling for UNC.... but that ball moved when it hit the ground. You could clearly see the white stripe of it twist in his hands when he made contact with the ground showing it wasn't secure. I don't blame them for overturning there.
