Not necessary. Just bring yourself.
I saw a couple thousand people walk out during Beamer's last ever home game. Nothing this fan base does will surprise me anymore
Never been to Penn State, but I always thought it looked shallow on television, which would lessen the noise, no?
The main difference between even and odd fronts is gap responsibility. As french mentioned above, even fronts usually involve 1 gap responsibilities, and odd fronts utilize two gap responsibilities. But more specifically "3 or 5" DL (odd) or 4 DL (even).
"Over" Front: Defense slides techniques to Strong side of formation
"Under" Front: Defense slides techniques to Weak side of formation
D-Line Techniques
0: Head up on center (Think NT who is responsible for both A gaps)
1: Inside shoulder of center
2: Head up on guard
2i: Inside shoulder of guard
3: Outside shoulder of guard
4: Head up on tackle
4i: Inside shoulder of tackle
5: Outside shoulder of tackle
6: Head up on tight end
7: Inside shoulder of Tight end
9: Outside shoulder of tight end (Wide-9, usually a "get after the QB" technique)
LB Techniques
The second number, 0, indicates it's a LB alignment. "i" indicates it's an Inside shoulder alignment.

This is where different fronts, alignments and stunts come into play. Each player has a gap "fit" or responsibility.
The main take away is Bud likes for DL and LBs to have great gap integrity and have safety's "fill" the alley that the DL have "spilled" by filling their gaps. Or a "force" defender who is responsible for setting the edge and forcing the runner back inside.
Edit: This is why Chuck Clark leads team in tackles and why we fuss over Motuapuaka and why French praises Mihota and struggles with Dadi. Gap integrity is key, it's also important for the defender left 1v1 with runner to make tackle.
First time I saw him from the stands I thought he was two horses in a man costume.
But that's why loluva exists...so they can do they their own thing on their own grounds.
Hoof Hearted brewing guys are in town with the RAR boys today. Can't wait to see what they come up with together!

# | Did Tennessee-Appalachian State Change Your Outlook of the Battle at Bristol? I agree. BMS is marketed well, but it is mostly backed up. It will be loud. We are talking the biggest college football experience ever, until it is topped.
Side note: Budweiser is building a two story bar inside the fan zone outside BMS. It is a brand new thing for 2016 and Bristol is stop #1.
We may be outnumbered 2:1, but we know how loud Hokie Nation is. We will be the loudest fans at the biggest game.
Not sure how they consider Miami to be even close to being a "powerhouse" unless the data for this was formulated 20 years ago.

# | Did Tennessee-Appalachian State Change Your Outlook of the Battle at Bristol? I don't know where to post this, but Frank Beamer will be on State Street in downtown Bristol next friday.

That's about what I thought. "Meh" about sums up how pretty much everyone outside Blacksburg views Tech right now. Add in the Vicks and we get pushed just south of the middle.
I feel like a horrible person for saying this, but I'm pretty sure Pitt got an "admirable" bump purely because of Conner's cancer thing. Good on them, I guess.
Thanks Ranger - I remember you kind words of encouragement when this first happened to us. Will toast one myself for your lost child as well.
1. It was a few years ago and they fired everybody.
2. Baylor happened, and happened recently.
3. UNC and Ole Miss don't even bother to attempt to appear to be making an effort to make things right, they just keep on cheatin' on cause the NCAA doesn't care.
Oklahoma - Lincoln Riley knows how score, athletic ability will separate OKLA late to cover
UNC - Greyson Lambert at QB
BAMA - Tide Rolls
Clemson - Not impressed with Sean White, at all. Heard the Watson kid is pretty good.
Notre Dame - UT with a possible True Freshman QB
F$U - Dalvin Cook, have a day.
For my beer of the week:

In honor of them beginning to move to the East Coast. Really like this one.
In reference to Asheville, just made my first trip to Wicked Weed about a month ago. Girlfriend is really into Sours and WW has a great selection for her. Made things nice for me.
EDIT: Because Greyson Lambert got the starting nod
Oklahoma -10.5
North Carolina +2.5
Alabama -11.5
Clemson -7.5
Notre Dame -3.5
Florida State -4.5 vs Ole Miss

# | Did Tennessee-Appalachian State Change Your Outlook of the Battle at Bristol? App State consistently got pressure with 4
They consistently got pressure when they only rushed 3!
yep...and their cb Duck was pretty game too.
The hell?
I said the stadium isn't going to be as loud as we think. Don't know where the hell you are getting all this shit about whether or not the game itself will be hard.
I thought we had a decent chance of pulling an upset before last night. I am not sure the talking heads will talk about it being an upset. After we crush Liberty tomorrow, we might even be favored.
While true, Vol nation are delusional savages. They will be out in force, Bristol is a skip from Knoxville and it is in the state of TN. We should have about 50k there, guessing. So 2:1 are my odds.
My passes this year are in lot 18 too. I will probably swing by as well or set up close by.

# | Did Tennessee-Appalachian State Change Your Outlook of the Battle at Bristol? This is dumb. Let's stop trying to lie to ourselves. This game is going to be tough. UT is gonna play better. It's going to be loud. We have a new offense. I just don't see the point in coming up with all these narratives on why this game is going to be easy for us. Look at the game from a real perspective.
.....and North Carolina, and several ACC home games I'd rather forget. There have been a few rough drives home recently. It is understandable and not surprising at all that this game is not a sellout.

All that will matter is "Let's go...Hokies..." ringing loud and clear through the 4th and into the trophy presentation.
