HAHAH Can always use more Yuengling. We are hoping to actually get rid of last years batch this weekend. They have stayed cool the whole time though, just chillin in the beer fridge.
Bristol is 109 miles from Knoxville and 134 miles from Blacksburg, and while track is situated in Tenn, the town of Bristol literally straddles the state line. Tennessee fans may travel en masse to the game, but any attendance differences shouldn't be attributed to distance from campus. One could argue that distance complicates matters for all of the VT alumni in the DC metro area (I have no idea where UT alums are concentrated), but this game has been in the works for years and should minimize most issues associated with driving time.

# | Did Tennessee-Appalachian State Change Your Outlook of the Battle at Bristol? Was hopeful, but now I feel worse, a lot worse. I hoped UT would smoke them. Many predicted App State to be really good this year, but I never want to play a talented roster coming off a near miss in a game like that.
Going a bit light this time since it's a noon game and I'm driving in that morning. Still bringing beer, bourbon, burgers, bacon, etc. The essentials. Also, I'm bringing more Yeungling for Lot 18. Just because.

Networking is crucial for success in today's world. Before I walked off the field I thought, "What would Frank Beamer do?" Long story short, I only have three facial expressions so I thought I should go over and tell them how well they played instead of doing this on camera after eeking out a close game.
When the methods quote "overall ick factor" as "data," the y-axis largely becomes irrelevant. The x-axis data would be interesting, though.
I had never heard of UNOH until this year.
My son just moved up to Boy Scouts and I was at the first campout where he gets to know the older boys. I'm nervous, he's about ready to spend a lot of time with these kids, including campouts. I'm sizing all of them up. The Scout leader is a hardass and everyone stays in line, but it's the character of the other kids that sets the culture of the group.
After a full 24 hours with them, it was clear that one kid was the kinda kid I would want my son to emulate. He was handy, helpful and polite. Good with the younger kids. He was the main cook for the group. As affable as they come. But he was aging out of Scouts and about ready to go to college. I asked him where he was going and what he was going to do. I'm not a car guy, but he then spent an hour telling me about UNOH's diesel mechanics program, how much he loved diesel engines and his dream to live on his parents farm and fix trucks for a living. He smiled from ear to ear. Presumably he is at UNOH now.
Good kid who had a passion I knew nothing about but loved it so much it was engaging. The story of Tyler reminded me of that encounter and the impact it left me with. UNOH must have a great program that attracts good kids.
Practice is crucial for success. Everyone wants the prize without the process but you have to practice to be prepared for those on field interviews.

I would love to see the raw data used for this graphic and what years did that data come from? I think that could be very telling. I would expect VT to be higher up in the rankings.
So sorry for your loss. I'm a father of 3 and I can't imagine what your family has went through. Your in our thoughts and prayers. I'll hoist my first beer and my victory beer for Tyler.

In game decisions are tough, but selling your team vision and say hi to all the mothers is easy. I'm good at that. One of the best, really. If they'd just give me more timeouts or maybe a 145 second play clock I could have some time to think for once!
