Yeah, but heaven help you if you show up late to a midterm. I was 5 minutes late the day of the midterm because I hit the off button instead of snooze and he kicked me out. I was so heartbroken and pissed because it was an honest mistake. I was truly mesmerized by his lectures and others sat on their damn computers everyday, but I had to drop the class because of that one mistake because his only grades were the midterm and final. Still burns my ass because that was his last semester and I to retake it with the new guy.
My worst weather experience at Lane was a Thursday night game. We took a half day off and raced to the stadium for the game. Traffic was so bad we had no time to tailgate, and chugged 1 beer before heading to our seats (5Q in the middle East - you know, the ones with the permanent backrests). Right when we were ready for kick off the skies opened up and poured. Then lightning struck right next to the stadium (I think it hit a car), and everyone was asked to evacuate the stadium. Being in a 10 way tie for the farthest people in the stadium from an exit, we spent about 20 minutes in unbelievable rain before crowding in under the stadium, where it was too tight to move. Then they announced the game was cancelled. 30 some minutes of hiking through the rain and we were back to the car in a non-moving parking lot. The rain also caused a wreck somewhere on the way home, so we did not get back until about 2 AM, and id not even get to watch us play. That SUCKED.

Sabato certainly knows his stuff, but Dr. Robertson is a mesmerizing and moving speaker. Best classes I took at VT.

Ugh – the cult of Paterno never fails to have their way at the State Penn.
Also, related but unrelated: The 'We Are' 'Penn State' chant is about the worst there is. Would much rather hear 'Wolf' 'Pack' and that is pretty much nails on a chalk board to me.
I feel like there should be some ground rules to this thread.

I've been saddened by that for months, actually.
Honestly, I think TheFifthFuller needs to ratchet back on the pessimism a bit.
If I get wet watching this game I'll be alright. I think knowing that since we're playing Liberty all of the bars downtown won't be as crowded after the game is easing my mind.

I painted up for the A&M game and it was my first ever tech football game. Never was so happy for unlimited hot water in AJ after that.
