There's just soooo many coin flips and what-if's on our schedule. We have a new coach, but so do 3 other teams we play (Miami, LOLUVA, ECU), not to mention that BC had to replace both coordinators. The way I see it, we have:

• 5 probable wins (Liberty, BC, ECU, Syracuse, UVA)
• 2 probable losses (UT and ND)
• 5 coin flips (Entire ACC Coastal minus UVA)

If we win half our coin flips, that puts us in the 7-8 win range.

I'm really looking for improvement over time. If we go 4-2 in our last 6 regular season games, and look good in the process, I'll be very optimistic for the 2017 season.

I can live with that.

I like the 8-4 picks.

If our 4 losses are to Tenn, ND, UNC and Miami I can accept that. If we pull what Mark suggests, a repeat of the 2014 season with a with against a top ranked team and then lose to ECU the following week I will be pissed. We should never lose to ECU, never.

Pitt. I can't stand playing either. Hate it. Even though they usually have good backs they don't seem to really ever dominate us, yet somehow we let those games slip through our fingers. Last 2 losses were by less than 7 and could have been won. I see those losses due to Tech typical inept offense and the defense finally breaking down because the O couldn't even sustain drives to give them a rest. Not this year, Fuente gets the offense going and even if it is close the O is able to score enough and give the defense enough rest to outlast Pitt.

UNC lost a close one against Clemson in the ACCCG that I'm sure they are still bitching about. Fedora has gotten them to improve. As long as they maintain what they have by the time we play I guess I could "accept" a loss to them.

We should never lose to Duke and I don't think we will this year especially with Sirk out. GT is GT. I hate that game and PJ. Fuente scores and forces GT to have to start passing to catch up to a 20 pt deficit. As usual, it doesn't work for them.

I think an 8-4 regular season is very acceptable, however if we are able to knock of Tenn, I don't want to see any hangover games. 10-2 is very feasible as well. I'd like to get back to the ACCCG, as we all would but to at least be in the conversation for it late in the season will be good enough for this year.

It goes weirdly deeper than that. In the end, it really makes sense and is the best overall look for the typeface. It seems there were sacrifices in the process of the design. The first thing I noticed is why the angles of the K and I touched but the angles in the H and E don't. Fix that. So, one option is to make the K 'taller' which lessens the width of the letter and creates that same space we see in the angle not touching the vertical parts of the H and E without having to push the letters away from each other. But then I would guess the width of the K, as slight as it would be, would look completely different with the rest of the typeface and even seem like a different font entirely, especially against the E and S. So after realizing that isn't the solution, the next step is to leave the design of the K as is and mess with the kerning. So you push the I away from the K. But then it ruins the consistency in negative space across the typeface. The width of the inner negative space of the 'O' and the width of the inner negative space between the arrow point of the 'K' and the 'I' right now are the same. Even though that also seems slight, Hokies would look like two separate words if they made the K and I not touch. So overall, I would bet this was the best design for the HOKIES typeface, despite the play button shape the negative space creates. That was their sacrifice in the design. I'm personally a fan, I think it's clean, modern and innovative which embodies our university's M.O.
