Well based on how the kid played during his Freshman year at UGA, I'd say this speaks more to Lefty's shortsightedness (no pun intended) and his ability as a talent developer.
1) What's the difference in French wasp and the ol' American rascal roaming around stinging people?
2) On a scale from 1 to creek bed crawling with fish, how refreshing will it be to see a new offense?
Why not both?
/serious
This year, if this new offense gets rolling, I expect an average of two of these plays every three games.
Bingo. Dobbs gets the ball away really quickly but he doesn't do it all that well. Instead of a QB he's like a game manager/additional RB on the field. But he can run fast and he knows it. If we can contain Dobbs we have a chance. If Dobbs runs at will, we're toast. We must also be gap sound and stop Jalen Hurd when he gets the ball. If Moto can't shed blocks and be at the right place and make tackles, UT wins handily.
We had also just blew one against a top 5 team. JMU was the proverbial trap game. That team wasn't bad. If this team loses to Liberty with no frame of reference to how good they are, then, yes we can be worried.
Damnnn Alum, back at it again with the savage KFM
How many times a year do you think a 5-10 yard completion turns into an 85 yard touchdown?
I think the game's final score will be much closer than the actual game itself. Liberty will get a few 4th quarter points against backups to cut the lead but it should be obvious who the better team is and we should feel comfortable about the team moving forward. Trading points through the 4th quarter with starters still in just to secure the win will make me very concerned.
That said, there is a part of me that believes we can pull off a 56-0 shutout with Liberty obviously checked out after halftime.
I really think this is Coach Fu's way of saying that Colt has worked his butt off in fall camp, while Wyatt isn't giving it his all. We saw a similar situation last year. Opening up against Liberty gives the coaching staff the opportunity to send a message via the depth chart. Come week 2 I think Wyatt will be 1 again.
yes- key point BOTH were on the field. Tulsa got a field goal on a drive where Mihota came in and replaced Dadi late in the drive. In the second half, Williams didn't play (perhaps was hurt) and Tulsa did manage the occasional score. But, when you watch Tulsa running the football, they didn't run nearly as well when Mihota was in.
Not sure if /s or serious.
Truth is in the middle. The coaches have concerns about Vinny's speed. Hence, the changes I highlighted above to mitigate those concerns while not bastardizing him by sticking him at tackle.
If the Hokies don't hang 50+ on this Liberty team, and the defense allows more than 2 non garbage time TDs, then I will be very worried about the UT game.
Coach Foster and Coach Fuente can sing the praises of Liberty all the live, long day. They are supposed to do that. However, Liberty has lost integral pieces of the OL, they're installing a new offense and a new QB, and the defense is slow as molasses. Should be perfect for a Fuente offense scrimmage. Liberty will try to keep everything in front of them. So, while I don't expect to see 50 yd deep throws, there should be plenty of 5and 10 yd completions that turn into 85 yd TDs. Liberty should be gassed before half time, and Coach Fuente will probably pour it on.
In a large part, that is because he didn't know where to line up. In the North Carolina game, you can put at least 14 points on Deon Clarke busts. If Edmunds can line up right and still force and spill effectively on the edge, he will be an upgrade.
Coach Beamer had always shown respect for the "lesser" team by calling off the dogs. I think Coach Fuente will not be like that. I think with our talent and the excitement inside Lane Saturday, anything less than 50 points will be a disappointment.
I will neither confirm or deny that I work on a federal military reservation as an active duty member of the armed forces and carry to work on a regular basis.
CJF's body language during that question was saying so much more than his words. It is clear to me that something is going on either in or out of practice that has disappointed the coaches. His 2nd string status has very little to do with his game production IMO.
I like this discussion a lot. But what # is Lawson? I didn't see him on the field?
I love the #25 jersey idea to honor CFB, but really hope we honor him with a lots of special teams' TDs.

# | Fuente and Foster Discuss Hokies' Depth Chart Intricacies, Announce Special Honor for Frank Beamer Has there been a friendly wager in any other threads yet, on what point Teller will retake a starting guard position? First game? First missed assignment from Petit? Second half? Longer?
That doesn't mean things can't change or won't change. It's just how it is right now.
CJF is just oozing conviction with that line lol!
Does anybody else just see this as a way to keep a promising younger player excited at grasp of playing time while motivating an entrenched veteran to mature, continue to improve and know and that no job is guaranteed.
My worry like is about (-19). Win by 20 and I'm fine.
How are Americans perceived in not only Asia, but elsewhere you've been to around the world? (I've been to other countries but obviously the folks we went to see didn't like us and we didn't like them)
Have you ever experienced prejudice or racism because you're a westerner?
worry about having to worry

Conservatively, probably 50-70 times.
