I would have shifted us into overdrive rather than cruise control following the 99 run.
We had our moment and the entire nation was looking at what we would do next. There was momentum, there was never before seen awareness, the hunger, the drive.... the complete and utter lack of shooting for the stars from the AD's office.
This is more my opinion, though I think a popular one, but it seemed to me that we lost the single greatest opportunity that VT has ever had at elevating our school & program straight into perennial powerhouse. The 10 win seasons are not to be knocked but the foundation beneath them kept getting chipped away. We squandered our momentum by not aggressively going for the jugular, where Weaver practiced stay the course on what got us there I believe we should have carpe diem'ed that shit to the next level by directing budgets massively towards awareness, recruiting and staff.
I'm not saying I believe that would have made a difference in the way everything came tumbling down but I feel that the opportunity lost there is too great, regardless of whether it would have been successful or not.
Which is why Fernley rightly goes on rants about lack of VT alumni programs and outreach.
KD huh? As someone who has worked there in Rides Management for many years we have definitely seen people getting arrested for the dumbness. I have very likely seen you up there several times.
My educated guess based on Rogers' being atop the RB chart is that this new offense is going to make extensive use of passing to the RB as an option. Having an H-back and Rogers on the field at the same time gives us the ability to send one of them to each side of the field, covering up the the "follow the H-back" weakness that defenses could key in on in Fuente's Memphis designs.
I'd be interested to hear French's thoughts on this.
Ludwig is punter. Wondering if slye will take some. Is santamaria gone? Looks like we got a freshman back up
Fuente says the offense is all about personnel groups. Says not to take it as "too big of an indication." #Hokiesβ Ryan Dye (@Ryan4VT) August 29, 2016
Would temp jobs be the other 15%?
Get out. Test the door with back of hand, then SLOWLY open door, if you see fire shut it, seal openings with wet if possible towels and open windows. If no fire visible but you see smoke, exit MAKING SURE TO SHUT DOOR BEHIND YOU, this will give you a safe spot to retreat to if needed, also numerous studies and my personal experience can't say enough about closed doors not only saving life's but property.
This leads into my PSA, SLEEP WITH YOUR DOORS CLOSED AND YOUR KIDS DOORS CLOSED. A simply home door can slow down a fire to the point where almost no heat or fire damage can occur inside the room. HOWEVER you MUST have home smoke detectors, also test them and hold fire drills INSIDE YOUR HOMES!!
Turner Gill thinks Beamer retired about 29 years too late.
I hope I get the improper equipment option or whatever. I don't care about paying the fine but I don't want my insurance to go way up. I may give the lawyers a call to avoid that situation but it felt like a racket to me. Local law office gets the list of offenders, buddies with the judge, they split the higher fee for their services than the ticket, but you get out of the possible points.
Call in this:

Gee, I just post my resume to LinkedIn and then prepare for the onslaught of recruiters seeking to harness my brilliance...said every millennial ever.

I love that. I'm not thrilled that ESPN will talk it to death though.
Edit: Better gif.
Thats the coolest thing I have heard yet. Brought a small tear to my eye.
I love how Fuente has honored Coach Beamer, I dont think that transition could have gone better, from both parties, unsurprising, Ive heard Beamer has been nothing but a stand up act.
First reaction

I guess I have to give Fuente/Cornelsen/Vice the benefit of the doubt but me no likey.

So he is from Maryland.
Yeah I should have said "Turner Gill still supports Devil's Backbone."

honestly, you'd be surprised. I know a few people who have complained about not having a job, but will apply to one position and wait to hear back before applying to another.
