Don't know how much of that was on the S&C staff versus the coaches being willing to hold players accountable for not putting in the time. Think it was a combination. When you have a guy like deon clarke out there starting for a major P5 program and he can only put up 275 on the bench, w/o having major shoulder issues, something is wrong.

That might be the strike that ruins the NFL. There's a pretty good chance they miss the whole season at this point. The NFL has probably peaked, based on age demographics it's definitely not doing so great. That could be the start of the downfall.

I love the Hokie Stone unis. But they're not going to be the new standard. Those have already been released and they still have shoulder stripes. The shoulder stripes look forced. Disjointed.

I would much rather have a sharp clean look (like UVA's new jersey) than the shoulder stripes we currently have. That said, I agree that the Hokie Stone unis look best.

I hope you get meet him someday. He's effectively a child hood hero of mine, and I was 22 when I met him about a year and a half ago.

Long story short he made a point to have a conversation as we crossed paths on the sidewalk when he was crazy busy . I tried to thank him for everything he's done for VT and he immediately changed the conversation to thanking me for being an MV and doing pep band (I had pep band gear on going to a game.)

The Frank Beamer persona is not an act, but who he really is.
