Good article by Connolly on the 99 Hokies. I don't agree with his statement that Va Tech was "definitely" the second best team at the 99-00 championship game against Florida State. We definitely lost. Though I have never seen mentioned, with ten minutes left in the game we had lost five starters. Safety, two cornerbacks, starting running back, and our primary possession receiver were out, and not solely due to injuries received during that game. Some had nagging ankle injuries in starting the game, and one broke his foot in practice the week of the game. Not many #1 teams can loose five starters and defeat the #2 team.

Amen. I am really liking the rumors I am reading about bringing the nasty back to the DBU along with some zone. That hearkens back to the brandon flowers days of coming in from off screen and putting the fear of the terror dome in their hearts for their next pass.

Sometimes I wake up in the morning and log into this site and just love yall. Ok, being honest that's every day. But days like this really let you know that the people here are amazing. Rails on me.

We have always made our own out of speaker wire and had amazing results, at least in Blacksburg. The homemade version tends to be cheaper and in our experience quite a bit more effective as well. Who knows what kind of over the air broadcasts you will pick up out there though.

Oh my God is this entire Olympics going to be video game/hello kitty/pokemon themed?

Tokyo is going to be awesome.

Ah, I see. First off, well done for doing something that complicated with Cinema 4D. How many hours did it take?

Secondly, if you have any interest in future render development here is my suggestion. Stop using Cinema 4D and start using Lumion. It is incredibly easy to learn and very fast real time rendering, and best of all you can script it for end users to walk around like a video game, because it was adapted video game engines. And you can import sketch up models which if you look in the 3d warehouse there is a Lane Stadium model already built. Not the best one but easy to start with that.

Lumion

First off,

In clip 9, the last clip, how is that not ineligible man downfield on UNC? The Right Tackle, the Center and the Left Guard are all multiple yards downfield when the QB throws the ball. If I was Shegog I'd be expecting a run in that situation too.

If I recall correctly this type of downfield movement by the OL is allowed on screen passes, but a 10 yard crossing route is not a screen pass. Y NO FLAG REF

p.s I hate UNC

Interesting quote that addresses your concerns from this article about the step by step process of installing the field

The field also features the RootZone infill stabilization system, a texturized layer of fiber that curls down into the surface, creating a net-like matrix that stabilizes infill. This reduces "splash" during play and provides grass-like traction for players.

Corey Moore was an undersized fullback and linebacker in high school who, after a detour in junior college, became one of the celebrated defensive ends of all-time, racking up 35 sacks in three seasons in Blacksburg. Thousand-yard receiver Andre Davis, who appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated in December behind a "They Belong!" header, was a track star and soccer player in New York until late in his high school career. Stith barely played during his senior year in high school. Ike Charlton was a high school quarterback in Orlando who was passed on by Florida State and ended up a second-round draft pick at cornerback.

Damn, we used to to be the Oakland A's of college football.
