Perhaps I took my rant too far. I didn't mean to belittle the opinion of those who don't like the uniform. That's not what riled me up. Seeing fans trash this uniform because it doesn't have O&M seemed arrogant to me (and, in fairness to TKP, most of that was on twitter...not TKP). I may have taken the "purist" comments the wrong way but that seemed elitist to me and it got to me.
That being said, if one does not like the uniform, that is fine. To call it an atrocity publicly is a bad look IMO, though. And unnecessary. Just say you don't like it and leave it at that. Move on. That was the point I was trying to get at. I was a bit heated and in the moment.

Honestly for me London was great, Syndey was amazing while Beijing, Atlanta, Greece, were meh to bad. I liked how London did their opening ceremony and I absolutely loved seeing events occurring in the English countryside or in historic parts of London and surrounding areas. I think Tokyo will top them.

I disagree with you that those who want Tech to stick to maroon and orange are cynics. They just have a different opinion. Black and grey were Tech's original colors, but everyone reading TKP grew up with and has known nothing but maroon and orange. I personally like the new uniforms, but I see where they're coming from.
I think my favorite helmets of all time are the ones we wore against UVA last year. Maroon with the VT on the side and a single orange stripe down the middle and smaller white stripes to the outside of the orange stripe. With the white face mask. That is a good lookin' helmet IMO

I cannot wait for the Tokyo games. Mark my words, going to be the greatest games since Sydney, possibly ever. It's a magical place, unbelievably friendly and Tokyo is an INCREDIBLY fun town. Expensive but so much fun. Plan ahead and save up now. It will be worth it.
