I've heard that theory, Jerrodd Williams left our team after like 3-4 seasons and walked on at Clemson (he is from Daniel HS, 8-10 minutes from Clemson's campus). Not out of the realm of possibility, but never saw any info from a reputable source.
because Clemson knew the exact plays we were running supposedly.
lol yeah I get FSU, GT, Wake, and UM ticket sales emails all summer and phone calls. they always get a good chuckle when I tell them I only purchase single game tickets every other year to give me a call back when VT plays them. FSUs office is pretty good about taking notes they actually only call now when VT games are coming up. wish I could say the same for the rest.
Who took a wee wee in his cereal...

you ain't lion

I refuse to allow this person to change my opinion on anything
I think if we can minimize turnovers (like you say) and also avoid going 3-and-out 8 times a game we should be a 7 or 8 win team
fair enough...I'll concede the point on Clemson/FSU (I still think Clemson will win that one) but Pitt??!?!

# | Freshman Josh Jackson "not really surprised" to be in the hunt for quarterback Well if you're the son of a coach and former player, you'll probably be a pretty good player in your own right.
It's the ...
Circle of Life.
Boom.
Please god, let it be Clemson.
Stewart Mandel is one of my favorite CFB media members. 5 wins is our floor IMO, but definitely possible. FWIW, Mandel also picked us to go 11-2 and appear in the fiesta bowl last year.
there isn't much reason as cfb media/personality to look into most of the other ACC teams going into this season.
Bold prediction - UL beats either Clemson or FSU this season.

Papa Johns pepperoni rolls are fatty greasy savory delicious nuggets of perfection
If anything, this only builds the hype. VT has a record of being a better team when every one thinks they are gonna suck!! This kind of suckage prediction mean 8 wins or more.
It's just a normal day for team pie.
That guy was huge in person! My high school, John Battle, was never good at football but they did have a play-off year back in 2012 and I went to watch them play Fort Chiswell and get the win. The win required a field goal and the kicker missed the snap, but ended up throwing a pass to the endzone. Great game. Coleman Thomas looked good.
Hoping Chance Hall the best and a return to football on the 17th!
Sally Jenkins had a nice take down of him today in the Post:

Overall, I think his predictions weren't particularly well thought out, but it's understandable. Outside of Clemson, FSU, and UNC at a distant third, there isn't much reason as cfb media/personality to look into most of the other ACC teams going into this season.
edit: I also agree that Clemson should be the preseason favorite, no doubt, but if Francois turns out to be a good QB, the narrative might shift. That said, it's too big of a question mark for the basis of an offseason prediction.
Maybe they know something about you we don't know...
Naaaaah.
Welp, this certainly tempers expectations.

I have to put a marble in my mouth to say it right.
That would be epic.

Pitt is more likely to start the season 1-2 (they play Ok. State and Penn State) than go 9-3.
