Good.

Some real trash opinions in there.
Except for UVA being last, that I can jive with.
Having Dobbs back there still makes me nervous as hell.
Damn mobile qbs...thorn in our side...yada yada
Sounds awesome. I'd certainly try to make it to a few of these. TKP pre game potluck has a nice ring to it.
I'm a student at Tech right now and I've been trying to think of ways to fundraise for people who might not be inclined to the Key Players Club quite yet, or those who are but want to go above and beyond with their involvement and I came up with this- I would be more than happy to host a potluck dinner at my apartment every Friday night before a home game for those who are in town early, or for students who are already here. In addition, there would just be a $5 cover and each person would bring one piece of the meal. All of the funds would be directly contributed to TKP, everyone would have a good time getting to know one another, and we'd be ready for our victory the following day. Is there any interest in this idea?
Good read. We new there would be some sort of signal, somewhere.

So you should be good, either way.
As an old fart, and I have no personal experience myself now, may I recommend depends?
Yep, and looking at Fuente's history most of his QB have a good TD to INT ratio.
Nobody seemed to notice Motley is the one actually holding the ball in that photo. There's your QB1
I hope this means we can get them into a lot of pressure situations with our front 4. Forcing some turnovers is how we will need to win the Battle at Bristol.
I tend to agree. How can we say Lawson was a mistake last year now that we know the outcome? The only player I can think of that most people wish we had an extra year for was tyrod, but even then I would argue that his situation was handled correctly. If we are recruiting the way we should be, we shouldn't need to rely on 5th year seniors to win it for us (at the qb position specifically).
Maybe in 6 years when Tyrod's contract ends.
Roanoke kid. I am surprised the Hokies were not more engaged with him as an OL prospect. The Vols are very thin at offensive tackle.
I love when people tell me what I assumed. :)
There is a reason why I said if it was a true three way competition burn the red shirt. I had assumed like everybody else the real competition was between Motley and Evans, until a) we started getting reports the best long ball was Jackson, and b) when the articles came out saying it was three way competition. I don't know if Fuente is only trying drive Evans and Motley harder by saying it is really a three way competition (not intending to pull the shirt) or if it actually is.
But the point of that is to show they aren't stuck as a back up and to keep working. If you perform like first team, you get a shot at playing with the first team. You don't hand out reps because a guy is working hard, you give reps they earned based on performance. If JJ has earned reps based on performance, then he has earned a shot at beating out the other guys, not just to reward him for great effort.
A QB competition is different than other positions like OL where they mix reps to build depth and determine swing positions during camp.

Is this Rodney Dangerfield's granddaughter?? I laughed so hard, I nearly pissed meself!
Hope the best for him and that he can be back Sept 17th!
So we should go ahead and build a trophy case
The NCAA rules that it was, indeed, a catch, reversing four years of downward spiraling of, mockery for, and contempt of, the Virginia Tech football program, which has an effect of rewriting history into an upward trajectory for the program, such that we beat Bama for the 2013 NCG, beat the Patriots in the 2014 Super Bowl, beat the Giants in the 2015 World Series, and finally, beat China in ping pong in the 2016 Summer Olympics for the gold, becoming the first football team in history to win a championship in three sports.
If not, then 9 wins and a potent Fuente offense would be nice too.
Nigel Warrior
that is an awesome name
