individual teams can hate it or love it but when you look at what it does for the conference as a whole I don't see how it adds any value...it's a pointless gimmick and we should get rid of it. period.
#goACC?
Name 3 hokies in the NFL off the top of your head:
Kam, Tyrod, Kendall.
All woefully underpaid for the value they bring...
Would love to see Serie A get back to glory. Lots of historically strong teams there.
Where's the stuff man?!?!?!

I'm still furious he got drafted in the third. The collective NFL establishment does whatever it takes to save money, but someone will have to pay up big time in a few years for his services.
Kendall is going to take DC by storm. I might have to become a sorta/kinda 'Skins fan.
Can't wait to see him play.
Kendall was first round talent and the skins got a steal..........He has a bright future.
I really kinda doubt we're actually in for him, and if we were, Arsene Wenger is not spending 30 mil on that guy.
I don't foresee him drawing in too much talent in the near future, so he might as buckle down and work with what he has. loluva is quite far from his normal recruiting scheme/ideas, while I think he is a good coach I doubt he will able to field the talent to be successful anytime in the near future.
IMO he is a sharp contrast from Mike London, he can coach well and will have trouble recruiting. If UVA sticks with him for 5+ years he may succeed, but the deck is stacked against him.
Its not a competitive balance thing. The premier league did a massive global push when Man U was winning every year and there was no balance. With english being the worlds language and EPL making the push for international TV deals before any one else, they've secured themselves as worlds the most popular and profitable league and Man U as the worlds most popular team.
For an American football site, there sure is a lot of Greek in this thread.
But seriously, how is UVa football like an old bra?
-Little support and no Cups.
I mean, Ross McCormack went to Villa for 14 million. Crazy world. But you need goal scorers and they come at a premium.
Aguero and I don't even like city
I think it's more of an issue with competitive balance. The Premier League has the most competitive top tier of the biggest European leagues. There's been a different champion the last 4 seasons, which is amazing considering the other top leagues.
Bundesliga - Bayern has won the last 4 league titles
Ligue 1 - PSG has won the last 4 league titles (and no one's challenged them)
Serie A - Juventus has won the last 5 league titles
La Liga is generally a two-horse race between Real Madrid and Barcelona, but there was Atletico Madrid's league title a few seasons ago.
Right now, the result of most of those leagues is a foregone conclusion and I don't think that makes for great viewing.
the permanent crossover game would seem a lot less stupid if we played Clemson, FSU, or even NCSU. The fact that we're stuck with BC makes it craptastic, but Miami and GT probably love what it does for their strength of schedule and ticket sales.
Personally this is what excites me about the UT-VT matchup....both teams have the chance to spark their season with a win. UT wins and they can say that they are on track for a legitimate shot at the SEC championship game. VT wins and Fuente gets his first big win at VT early on in his career and it also sets the tone for the rest of the season.
Both teams have a shot at a big win, I hope that both teams stay consistently good and we play more teams like UT-WVU-Texas etc. for our out of conference schedule and drop the cupcakes. Play games that mean something.
I could also see him burning them into the ground. At byu your freshman are 25 you don't need to recruit well theyre bigger and more physical. At uva hes not blessed with the same advantage. If he doesnt recruit well the talent level is going to suck. Hes probably got more talent on the roster now then he might ever bring in. Don't forget there are several 5 star guys on that roster and some solid classes. But I dont think the roster is going to improve much any time soon
Last I saw he was still a FA. Some teams interested though.
Agreed but welcome to the overinflated costs of strikers globally. It's tough to find a good value thats not a young undeveloped guy and even theyre pretty expensive
What about MV7??
Even though the mandate only has two options, that doesn't prevent the PTB from changing how we pick a champion, right? Still open to ACC tinkering is which two teams go to Charlotte, FCS rules, how to deal with ND scheduling, and division realignment.
at this point i'd be fine with either...get rid of the stupid permanent cross-over game....it adds no value to the conference in any way. The ACC would be better off having 2 rotating games against non-divisional opponents each year. Keep the 8+2. For teams like GT, FSU, Clemson who have SEC rivals that will fill one of their 2. ND can fill one for 5 other teams. The conference, in most years, won't be hunting for that many non-con games against P5 teams.

Thought Kam & Tyrod were getting bumps in their pay this season??
