Well one thing about payouts was discussed and I don't like it. ND will get equal payout from channel profits.
Definitely been thinking this for awhile as well...
Just a related note for cord-cutters.... I recently switched to the Playstation Vue mid-tier package in conjunction with Roku and man... it's proving to be wayyyyyy better than Sling (tried and cancelled). Even E$PN (not through the WatchE$PN app, although the login from PSVue works) as live TV comes across pretty sweet. Been with them about 30 days and plan on keeping it for now. I'm on DSL (only internet available) and it streams pretty darn well at under 3 mb/s.
left, without comment

We do tend to get pretty passionate (...vocal) about skill position choices. None more so than QB.
Wish it had worked on MV5. He showed signs of having nearly as high a ceiling as MV7. What a waste of talent.
Are you suggesting one gets to stay in the boat and the other one gets thrown over the side?
The
onlybiggest complaint I had for Davis was his unwillingness to blockdownfield

I.... what was the question?
Beamer always redshirted his freshmen until about 2010
Tyrod Taylor says Hi
That contract extension gives me no comfort at all. It won't matter if Buzz wants to leave. His buyout is even a little weak.
The contractual commitment to Buzz' Bunch gives me more comfort. But still not a lot.
I would put the O/U on this tenure at VT at 5 years and I would unfortunately have to take the under.
Some tough ones on there. My simple brain never had Ekanem right in my internal speaker system, I certainly don't have Houshun, Nijman, Shibest, Cornelsen or even Jerod (I keep saying "He Went to Jareds!").
And Der'woun.....no chance. I just assume he only goes by Greene.
I have a strong feeling with Fuente, that'll change soon enough.
Frank was hired in December, 1986. So that's correct. His first season started in 1987. But as for the "present" part, well...
Tea? Not on your life. Not now, not ever. Now a double dollop of Legacy whiskey could turn my head and de-stress me, and I'd drink it out of an old bean can if necessary. Also helping to avoid future embarrassment, I have now forbid my wife to look over my shoulder to see what's up with the Hokies on The Key Play until I have vetted the subject matter. I really don't want to have to justify my favorite hang out.

Considering the play of our OL, its not such a bad thing to have a QB who is better outside the pocket than in it
Btw, even though I disagree with the premise, philosophy and interpretation of the quote pertaining with MV7, I did not downleg.
Because when I get throttled, then things cannot run online without lagging and stopping to buffer and dropping video quality.
I wish I could get fiber to the house but, I cannot.
Thus, I must remain on cable TV until such time as infrastructure improves.
I don't think higher scores per game and "consistency" can be measured on a uniform basis. Teams with leads will manage the clock differently than teams trailing and vice versa. For me, my measuring stick is much more situational that regular statistics. Red zone efficiency, 3rd down efficiency (especially performance in key situations), and most importantly, the scoreboard indicating a W versus an L matter way more to me than the offense just scoring more points.
I think it is PARAMOUNT that the offense, while sped up, sustains drives and keeps the defense off the field, especially given the depth issues at linebacker and the secondary.
gave you a leg to cancel out the downvote.
Respectfully though I think you're wildly missing the point. To me it really doesn't matter if Vick's character improved or not. It doesn't matter if he actually needed a year to get it together or not. What matters is the man gave his word and he kept it.
That point has always made me respect Beamer more than most. It also makes me even more proud to have gone their and have the Hokies as my team. Because as much as I want to win every championship every year, I believe VT is different than other places. That we should be different. I believe in the blue collar, do your job, honor your commitments and persevere attitude. And I think that blue collar attitude has a lot of character building itself. Maybe it didn't work for Vick, but everyone on that team must have known that he wasn't getting played because of that promise. Maybe it affected other members of the team more positively to know they play for a man of character. Maybe it affected that high school coach and others to know that Beamer really is looking out for their kids.
That to me is the point.

I'm now expecting this after every one of his touchdowns.
