# | ASK FRENCH- What are your Hokie football questions before fall camp kicks off? Mihota was very good. He was gap sound. He ate up blockers that allowed linebackers and safeties to make plays. He made plays and created pressure. He took penalties. He was Orion Martin, just in a bigger package.
It absolutely astounds me that EVERYONE complains about Bud not utilizing bigger players in his system, and then turn around in the same breathe and say that a big, athletic guy with great burst who is very good on film "CAN'T" play the position. Mihota is a DE. It is the position he is best suited to play. It is the position he would have played had he gone to Alabama. And, the film bears that out.

But again was it that mihota was such a great fit at DE or was it that Dadi was terrible last season? Our defense operates best when our DEs are creating havoc and I don't see mihota as ever being that guy. I do agree he'll be much more fundamentally sound than dadi and be able to set the edge rather than opening lanes like dadi did.
Watch the series when Mihota was in the game vs Dadi- it will tell you all you need to know.
Note- Tulsa and UVA did not score a point on series where Mihota AND Nigel Williams were both on the field. I can't emphasize that enough.

My head says Rogers ends up there. The guy who can step in and be the most productive in the passing game will be Cunningham.

We coach our CBs and FSs together, and the Rovers and Whips are coached together as well, so they are kind of cross trained already.

I'm still blown away that we scored more in one half than we did in any entire game last season except Purdue.

I already have trips to Phoenix, St. Louis, Toronto, Newburgh NY, Dallas, Los Angelas, and other spots lined up between now and November 1.

The potential will be there to make more big plays if the QB can find them. They will get space, because Fuente will do what he has to do to make the run game credible.

True, hand in hand with the ACC deal going on was news that Houston was in talks with the PAC12 regarding expansion and Houston is considered one of the Big12's top targets for expansion. I am sure we can come up with a huge list of other reasons. Simple fact of the matter is until they expand back to twelve members at a minimum they are vulnerable in terms of the Power conferences.
Speaking of pie...I need direction from a wise pie-master. Can cobbler be considered pie? Or is cobbler in another category by itself?
