I played d1 football, did you?

You want to start talking about the new staff at dining halls to work that into your people on staff too? None of the staff outside of the coaches can have direct contact with recruits off campus. They do grunt work for them and logistics.

Tolliver never considered VT. He got a free trip and hung out with his former teammate. You probably think Andrew brown really considered VT as well, right?

he qualified it as "top 10 team IN THE AREA WE WERE RECRUITING" so, yeah, I would say we recruited Virginia like a top 10 team. The problem was that we didn't recruit the rest of the country that way, like other top 10 teams do, so we ended up with a top 20 class in those years instead of a top 10 class.

We were 11-3 in 2011.

Following our best season -

When veteran Roanoke Times recruiting analyst Doug Doughty was asked by Bill Roth Monday if 2001 was Virginia Tech's best recruiting class ever, Doughty replied: "Oh, certainly."
He went on to say it was his recollection that no school has ever signed three of the top four in Virginia in one year as the Hokies just did. Whereas VT signed 5 of the Top 25 in a very good class a year ago, it signed 11 of the Top 25 in 2001.

We also got 4 out of the top 5 in 2005 following a top ten finish.

If we get Capehart, Laborn, and Hunter (along with others of course) I would consider this class a huge success. It's a long shot, but still possible. If this happens I could even see Garbutt recommitting.

I'm on the case!
