I think the lack of negative comments (or much mention of all) of Foster's name speaks louder than the negative comments themselves. Respect. If he'd had only a couple #1 seasons (like Venables or Boston College), or made his mark at lower tier schools, the ranking would be questionable. But he's done it all at the FBS level, in P5 conferences, year in and year out, without getting fired or "let go". He is in a different class.
As someone else mentioned (just got done watching the 2012 labor day GT game), even in games where we dominated defensively, there were one or two early drives that seemed to give momentum to the other team, but second quarter or second half they were shut down by Bud's adjustments, time and again.
Sorry haven't been around to Foster good discussion after posting the topic, but looks like things are running smoothly.
I think what was needed around here was a shot in the arm for the offense. I know Bud has had some ideas on what he'd run; and I know he could go out and hire a great OC. However, the offensive philosophy coming from the big whistle himself and a veteran staff, and not just his OC, should have more of an impact. Fortunately we were able to maintain relative stability on the defensive side during the O-verhaul.
Optimist. ,:--)
Or climbing the beanstalk. Or walking on the branch to get the golden egg.
Glad to hear, it used to be our favorite haunt !
(When the folks visited and picked up the bill).

Likewise on the fishbites. I have only used them on bottom rigs. I have had good luck with the crab bites and with the fake bloodworms, just drifting along a hard bottom. Other fish will eat them, reds, trout, etc. but if I were fishing for the snapper, I would be lost. Like 3rdGen, I have never fished for them.
Edit: Have never seen fishbite jerk shad, but will swear by Gulp jerk shad for reds and speckled trout in shallow water. Awesome bait.
They've been really impressive so far. Lot of heart. Sucks that Ramsey and Davis have to sit against Portugal though. That card carryover rule is garbage.
Like many fishermen, I am heavily routinized in what I do. Personally, I abhor trolling. Lazy fishing and about as boring as can be. Chumming for cobia at anchor, though, comes as close to boring as trolling, until the action starts. We had one cobia on and lost early in the day today, but then the bite devolved into a couple of big cow nose rays, the last one maybe 40lbs or so and had another all over its back like in a mating thing or something. If our net was bigger, we'd have had them both, they were that hooked up, but of course we had no love for them and didn't put either of the two we hooked in the boat. Thunderstorms popped up this pm and drove us home early. I am beginning to think that I am a cobia jinx.
And we boat owners just LOVE friends like you.
Hats off to wales right now. Win or lose theyve been one of the most entertaining teams in the tournament

# | Physical TE Lecitus Smith Brings His Blocking Expertise to the Hokies' 2017 Class I can speak to this, living here in the dirty-dirty.... these counties/satellite schools are no joke. So this guy could be a real gem/find. High hopes and a big welcome to Hokie Nation
That's why it is best to not own a boat, but have a friend that owns a boat. Then you just show up with a six pack and have fun, get to leave and avoid all the maintenance work.
I say more power to them, they found a way to ring the bell as fast as possible within the rules.
I pray one day we will have LBs like Hall and Adibi on the field again at the SAME time! Get'em Bud!
at that point it's not really a rope climb anymore...
I noticed almost all the girls who did the rope climb did it that way. It's smart. I never would have thought of that.
Good luck to him. Ames is a nice place (well, as long as you don't count Nov-March).
I got caught up in it last night while drinking beer and laying on the couch. Not surprising that the two males on VT's team are in the VTCC/TAC and one of the women plans on joining the Marines.
Also, did anyone see the one racer from Ole Miss took on the rope climb? Here she is last year, but she did the same thing this year:
Anyway, you can catch it on WatchESPN if you have a subscription:

That's the one place I always wanted to go to when I was in college, but could never afford.
ditto...in fact, not sure I even did the whole thing...just parts of it. don't remember clearly though
I have used fishbites on a bottom rig for croaker. It works just like cut shrimp or squid. Only used the small strips not the jerkbaits or shad. Haven't ever fished for mangrove snapper.
See i thought about it, but i can only take so much bud/pbr/schlitz at one time haha
I'm pretty sure every FBS team stays together prior to home games.
I actually borrowed some boots to run through on my best time. Really helped with the rope at the end. You don't realize how much you pull your weight off your feet when you don't have the rigidity of the boots to keep the rope from squeezing your feet. You rely a lot less on your arms, which are completely shot by that point.

Speaking of Raycom, do we have an ACC (TV) Network yet?
