If Jones and Stith weren't before your time I'm baffled at how Lee Suggs doesn't make your list. That dude was easily one of the best college RBs I ever got the pleasure of watching. Too bad he blew his knee out or he would have had a great pro career.

They wouldn't "take us to the woodchippers" anymore than if we try to plug our 4-4-2 with players off the bench. Someone mentioned playing Fabian Johnson at LM, but that would mean Besler at LB. I would much rather have Johnson back there trying to stop Higuain, Di Maria, Kun Aguero, and Messi than Besler.

I threw that lineup out jokingly because it's an aggressive formation, but the more I look at it, the more I'm talking myself into it. A lineup like this 4-3-3 would help us condense the game to the middle of the field and squeeze off chances if the ball got outside. It would allow us to defend high up the field in hopes of denying their playmakers the ball from the start. One thing Bradley is good at is helping on defense. So when the forwards press, Bradley has always been solid to draw the contested pass one way and challenge that pass. I've watched Nagbe a lot for Portland this year and he does the same (against MLS competition, but it's the only sample we have to work with). If we did this, we would get beat 3-0, but it might lead to a couple fun chances!

SAC is crazy. What is crazier is the coaches are pretty poor. There are Baltimore County coaches who are really good and they laugh at how bad the coaching at SAC is. There are a few associated with Celtic who are really good. Ryan P in Anne Arundel I think is gonna be really good. The little hidden secret is that some of the best teams SAC ever produced were coached by someone's Dad and succeeded despite SAC's interference. They get some really good athletes. Back in the day we differentiated our play with our skill not necessarily our physical dominance.

These kids and their parents never play for a team they just got stuck having to play for someone while they move on to something better.

When I grew up we demanded one thing. You had to play 100% on 50/50 balls. If you couldn't do it we didn't want you. We had good players leave. But we wanted to be brothers and we wanted to be tough and strong for one another. That sh** never happens anymore. Everyone is waiting to commit to the US national team they just haven't made it yet.

I think fabian is supposed to be a real offensive threat from the wing on his German team. Think mid but I guess could be D. Replacing Fabian at D with Besler is giving up quite a bit on D. Argentina has a mixture of guys with pace and not alot of pace. Besler could luck out but if Argentina is smart they target him with pace and isolate him.

Nooo no timmy chandler I used to follow him a lot and hes frankly just not up to it... Nor do I think hes even on the copa roster. Maybe push fabian up on the wing to give us more defended minded players on the pitch?

I didn't see what he did til finally they showed an angle that was very clear. I was thinking that he got Brooks' yellow. He just totally lost his head for a second. For me thats a toss because a guy should have the right to defend himself and he started with a punching motion. Should have stayed away and watch Valencia take his medicine. Now frankly if we don't get Nagbe to play with Bradley (maybe Pulisic, haven't seen him play mid)... we're gonna get destroyed with Becks in there. And everyone will blame Bradley.
