I'm with you on this, I think the formation goes largely unchanged but Dempsey will be pushed forward and someone else will come in behind or out wide.
It's not the ideal scenario (I don't like Dempsey with his back to the goal) but it's probably the best we can do with our situation at striker. Curse Altidore's injury woes.
I agree with Fuente & co being an offensive upgrade, but I still think when you have all but ~2 starters returning on offense that have to learn a new system/scheme, even if it is inherently simpler than Loefflers mad scientist playbook, they need some time to get it to gel in game situations. All the practice in the world doesn't mean the plays will be run correctly in a game and I think that will be our learning curve this year.

I dunno...I would have expected Beamer and co. to get to 6 wins if they were still around for 2016, and I consider Fuente an upgrade, even in his first year. After all, the core of the team is largely the same.
i also think we see chandler out wide (the other option being besler as CB and cameron going right but you dont want to mess with the chemistry i think).
i think what you laid out is the best option but i could also see them going with a 4-3-3 having dempsey as the center forward while inserting zusi/pulisic/nagbe in a wide position

We basically know 2 things about the Many Faced god:
All he/she is interested in is collecting names
And
He/she doesn't seem to care all that much about who does the collecting or how
Jaqen's reaction at the end of last nights episode seems to suggest that he had some idea of exactly how Arya's training would play out, if not that he hoped it would go the way it did directly. He wanted to help Arya get to a point where she could take her list of names into her own hands, which would still please his god.
After the missed handball call in the Peru/Brasil game, the announcers were talking about how long the refs took to consult on the call. This is correct. Whit and Bill Lansden, head of Hokie Club, have mentioned this before. It is very likely that the percentage of living alumni who donate is less than that 4% number.
You are probably reading that right. Worsham isn't an alum but is one of the biggest (if not the biggest) donors.
If I'm Fuente, then there's only one thing to do
Joe, am I reading this right that the donor number is total donors with no regard to alumni or non-alumni? So that means the percentage of alumni giving could be significantly lower for schools with a larger public appeal (ND or UM, for instance). So it's probably even less than 4% of living alumni donate for us...
I have a feeling the last 2 episodes are going to be absolutely ridiculous.

I understand and somewhat agree on the end of the bowl streak, but it's not the end of the world. If it takes losing 7 games in year 1 for Fuente to really drive home his scheme, then I'm okay with that. Again, not happy, but okay.
A few stray thoughts: Jaime uttered another "she will burn cities to ash" line when talking to Edmure last night; if they haven't beaten us over the head with "Cersei is going to unleash wildfire" enough yet, I'm not sure what the definition of "enough" actually is. As a random aside, does anyone think Jaime installs Bronn as lord of Riverrun to pay his debt? Since the show is diverging a lot at this point with respect to Bronn, I think this might be kind of a fun idea.
EDIT: to expand upon the Cersei idea, the thing I was wondering was how her use of wildfire might fit in with the prophecy. Imagine if she unleashes the wildfire as she approaches the sept, assuming it will burn the Faith Militant, High Sparrow, etc. but as it explodes, she sees Tommen in the sept. "Joy [at her assumed victory] will will turn to ashes in your mouth [killing her own child, and the whole ash + fire thing]." Jaime is driven to a rage after hearing of Cersei's madness killing their son and he chokes her to death, fulfilling the last element of the prophecy.

possibly, but her brother is still in the same situation as cersei. I think margaery's play will come in before either of them go to trial or at the trial.
So this Kings Landing stuff all spawned from Margaery's (what I believe to be) fake acceptance of the faith of the seven. It looks to me like she is using the faith to manipulate Tommen to drive Cersei out of the picture. Anyone else get this feeling?
Not for me. The Wolfpack Club is one of the best run booster clubs in America. It's a model that VT should follow.
